Hits the style. A strong ale of piney citrus grapefruit hops with a large floating mass of grain. Good drinkability, above average mouthfeel, suitably carbonated. Cloudy light brown coloured body, with large retained head.

Draft. Dark orange colour with a medium off-white head. Smell leads me to an IPA, taste more of a stout. Aroma has cherry blossom, roasted buckwheat, more floral notes. Flavour is a bit hoppy, roasted chocolate with a well balanced finish of bitter and sweet roasted, toasty malt.

Tap @ Basement Beer Bar, Aalborg. Aroma of moderate malt, caramel, flowery and parfume hops. Clear red amber colour with white head, mostly diminishing. Taste is moderate sweet and light+ bitter. Full body, oily feel, avg. carb., bitter and sweet finish.

Bottle @ Žmogšala3 festival, Vilnius. Pours hazy amber with yellow head. Aroma: hay, caramel, dead hops. Taste: caramel, sweetish, dead hops, hay. Medium + body. Not mine kind of beer.

750ml bottle from Gallagher’s Beer World/El Irlandés. Pours a hazy reddish orange color with a small but thick creamy head that lingers. Aroma is intensely fruity but relatively simple. Mango, peach, pommegranate and grapefruit dominate throughout. Maybe a bit of sweet citrus and little malt presence. Taste continues the fruity sweetness but adds a bitter feeling towards the end. The flavors remain within the tropical fruit and sweet citrus comfy zone but there’s a bitter hint that’s not completely refined. Alcohol well integrated, medium to big body. Smooth. Neither super-intense nor extremely-complex. Just a competent hoppy and well-made Barley Wine.

Bottle pours a hazy copper color with a large, lasting, lacy light beige head. The aroma is caramel sugar, toffee, buckwheat, and grapefruit. Sweet sugary caramel malt flavor. Finishes with moderate bitterness - citrus and herbal notes. Medium-full bodied, somewhat syrupy. Hides the booze decently well. A bit overrated, but good.

Bottle: Slightly cloudy, dark orange-brown with a small off-white head. Caramel malt, buckwheat, wood/bark aroma. Taste is quite woody....caramel malt, mild citrus,.....sort of an oily bitter. A lot of malt...pretty easy drinking for the ABV. Left me feeling a little dry and thirsty, strangely.... Not bad, but nothing more.
