In this version HvedeGoop has been barrel aged in Malaga wine barrels. Malaga wine is a variant of Sherry, which you clearly can sense in this very complex beer. Rare and delicious.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark mahogany with a medium white head. Aroma is full of wine barrels, oxidation and wood. Flavour is about the same, with the wine barrels upfront, oak and oxidation,. Something seems slightly off here due to the oxidation, but it’s certainly still quite nice.

BBE 06/12/17 - Pours dark reddish brown with a small head. Aroma of caramely malts, syrup, wood and berries. Taste is sweet, mildly hoppy and malty with some caramel, berries and hints of wheat. Finish is smooth, hoppy and grainy with notes of berries, syrup, berries and caramel. Not sure if I like this or not, quite dull actually.

Aroma is sweet with caramel, some harsh malt and raspberries. Flavour has strong woody notes, some harsh malt, caramel and sherry. Alcohol is present but does not disturb much. Quite easy-going. Wouldn’t call this a "very complex beer".

Face caverns: sweet sweet raisins, brown sugar, muddled orange, strawberry on the edges, fragrantly herbal, ripe cherry, caramel - in my category of best smelling brews. Tooth farm: strength with sweetness and an obvious herbal grip, thickness, brown sugar, caramel, orange, dry mouth, pepper, berries, elbows.

Burnt sugar, drool inducing, a strange dryness, soya, tons of mollasses. This is epic. Barrel aging is noticable, is that what Malaga taste like....... what is Malaga??? Saltiness, sweetness. A awsome alcohol flavour is permiating this brew. Dam I want more!!!! Distracted so not that good of a review.

Aroma is sour wine character, some light spiciness, and caramel. Some pale wood aswell. Taste is light sweet caramel with some wine yeast character. Pleasant dark fruit flavors here aswell. Light alcohol warmth but pretty smooth altogether. Appearance is a fairly clear amber with a medium thin head that retains fairly well.

375 ml bottle.
Pours dark amber color with a small head. Vinous notes on the nose, sweet malts, caramel, some wood, faint honey notes too. Sweet malts and ripe fruits on the flavor, wood, faint wheat, toffee and slight alcohol burn. A bit sweet, hides alcohol well. Decent.

375 ml bottle. Pours a dark ruby amber colour with a small foamy head. Aroma of biscuit, wood, tart cherries and herbs. Rich flavour of bread, pungent herbal notes, sweet caramel, cherries, rich wooden notes, gooseberries and grass. Full bodied. Alcohol is quite well hidden. Well balanced.
