3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
75cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - thanks a lot! Pours slightly hazy golden to amber with a white head. Very hoppy with lots of grapefruit, hints of tropical fruits, pale malt, herbs and pine. Sweet, but balanced with dominating hoppy flavours and a very solid bitterness. Alcohol is well integrated. Nice one!

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle 0,75l, cloudy orange with small head, but a beautiful lacing remains for a very long time. Aroma of citrus fruits, oranges, flowers, lavender. After itgets warmer the aroma changes to honey and cognac and gets more alocoholic, but also more warming while drinking. In taste noticable notes of coriander and amarican hops that are good balanced with light orange sourness and a strawy sweetness.
To be honest I have a big dilemma how to rate this beer, since I really think it was a very pleasant one. The think is it is definitly not a barley wine, so I had to deduct some score points from the overall rating.
For sure this is a beer that you can enjoy drinking, but rather if you expect a good AIPA or even a double AIPA. I was terribly missing some wine fruitiness and finally even if there were such tastes and aromas in it, they were all completly covered by amarican aroma hops.
In the rating I also took the price quality ratio into account. I could imagine to buy it again as a good AIPA for half the price it costs, but for almost 20$ shop price/bottle I won’t.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2014 Bottle, 75cl. Pours hazy tea with orange with small-bubbled, homogeneous, long-lasting foam. Aroma of fresh, american hops, predomintantly floral, Scotch pine needles and citrus, but after a while an alcoholic and irritant note becomes evident. Taste is built of medium bitterness and some light and syrupy sweetness, from sip to sip some taste of rice can be even found but cannot admit that it adds much to the table. It generally improved while drinking with bitter notes being more and more balanced with malty tones. It is generally smooth on the palate, bit oily, leaves a yeasty dryness on the tongue. An alcohol is not hidden and gives a warming feeling down the throat. Medium bodied. I must admit that my expectations from such a big names were way higher. Too much of AIPA hoppy feel for this style (yeah, I know it is not an AIPA), in my humble opinion. It is a good beer and I enjoyed it but it doesn’t really bring anything new on the table and if one considers the price/quality ratio, there are better options to go on the market.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
75cl bottle. Pours a nice, unclear, orange amber with a dense, white to of white head. Aroma is very fruity with peach, pear, pineapple and tropical fruity hops. I actually catch some rice as well. slightly floral. Lots of pale malty sweetness. Taste has a big sweet fruityness up front, but turns more and more bitter hoppy. Slight acidic citrus and peach. As it heats up, the sweetness gets more sugary or syrupy. Nice value beer actually!
