Bottle. Pours unclear amber in color with a white head. Tropical notes, some grapefruit and funkyness in aroma. Sweet malty notes, bit of citrus, apricot jam and yeasty spicyness in taste at first. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. More leaning to some tropical fruityness, funkyness and grapefruity bitterness in the end though.

Cloudy dark golden colour with a tiny white head. Sweet malt, hops, sugar, mild bitterness and some fruitiness in the aroma. The flavour is hops, bitterness, yeast and sweet malt. Quite nice.

Tap@Mikkeller Bar, CPH - (listed as 11.4% on board) fuzzy amber pour with off-white head. Aroma and taste is sweet malty and fruity, pretty citrus fruity prominent then the usual dark dried fruits, mandarin and lemon peel, some caramel toffee, surprisingly different experience for a barley wine, tasty and enjoyable nonetheless.

750ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey golden colour with late awakening, average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Herbal, piney, hoppy aroma, malty background with hints of toffee, dried fruit and orange zest. Taste is initially moderately sweet malty, immediately countered by intense bitter hop notes, minimally tart; lasting, slightly biting and burning alcoholic finish. Intense but overall mild and balanced.

Draught at De Klomp, Linköping. Somewhat hazy golden/apricot color, with a rich leating offwhite/yellowish head. Hoppy floral aroma, grassy, caramel, biscuits, herbal, citrus and raisins. Hoppy grassy flavor, floral, toffee, hay, citrus, some caramel. Hoppy herbal finish. Not what I expected.

Bottle shared with wyzzywyz22 on his birthday, in Wallasey. Orange coloured with a small off white head. Aroma is hops, tropical fruit, flavour is similar, nice hop bitterness, malts compliment well. I too don’t think this is a barley wine, tasty beer it is though.
