Bottle from Cervazorama Madrid. Pours a hazy orangy amber colour with a slightly off white head. Aroma is herby, honey, grass, funky veg, a bit of tangerine. Medium to full body, fine medium carbonation. A touch powdery on the palate. Caramel, quite sticky, a little veg, a bit of grapefruit, pretty dry and bitter. OK. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

75 cl bottle @ PBF VIII, BBE 14.11.2017
Vertical with the other one
Aroma is somewhat heavy with fruity notes, caramel and some biscuits. Flavour is also fruity with some hops, gluey notes, caramel and biscuits. Alcohol is present but it doesn’t disturb. Nice, although doesn’t reach the awesomeness of Boogoop. Perhaps it could as fresh. And still this is better than 3F version since this is more fruity.

750 ml bottle @ PBF 2013.
Pours a dark copper colour with an amber hue with a white lacy head. Aroma of sweet caramel, syrup, strong floral hops and citrus. Flavour is rich with caramel, strong floral hops, some sweet syrup, grass and strong rich grapefruity notes. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a thick, floral, rich, citrusy finish. Great stuff, currently more like a DIPA than a barley wine.

750ml bottle @ PBF 2013

Vertical with Three Floyds version - Pours dark orange with a foamy head. Aroma of crisp malts, grassy hops, citrus, fruits and lemon. Taste is malty, hoppy and bitter with notes of crisp notes, grass, citrus, lemon and syrup. Finish is malty, fruity and sweetish with notes of crisp fruitiness. Okay, quite hoppy and bitter, almost like a double IPA. Maltier and heavier than the Three Floyds version, the aroma is notably different.

75 cl bottle @ PBF 2013.
Pours clear orange color with a small head. Aroma of hops, some sweet fruits, resin and some caramel, faint rice on the background. Flavor of resiny hops, sweet fruits, caramel malts and some alcohol. Quite heavy, some mild sweetness and alcohol throughput. Decent brew with a nice hop profile.

Bottled at PBF. Hazy plem orange, mid sized head. Generous grapefruit aroma. Sweetish with sloppy body and syrupy mouthfeel. Fruity and aggressively bitter with resin and ink setting in early and lasts seemingly forever. A total mess.

NeuroPliny (142) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 23, 2013
Poured from a 750 mL bottle. Pours cloudy apricot brown. Off-white head with nice lacing. Aroma is rich in hops with notes of citrus with grapefruit coming through. Flavour is surprisingly sweet given the nose. Sweet malts and rice syrup combine with prickly hops to give an interesting take on the original Boogoop Barley Wine.
