Poured from a 750 mL bottle. Pours cloudy apricot brown. Off-white head with nice lacing. Aroma is rich in hops with notes of citrus with grapefruit coming through. Flavour is surprisingly sweet given the nose. Sweet malts and rice syrup combine with prickly hops to give an interesting take on the original Boogoop Barley Wine.

750ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey golden colour with late awakening, average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Herbal, piney, hoppy aroma, malty background with hints of toffee, dried fruit and orange zest. Taste is initially moderately sweet malty, immediately countered by intense bitter hop notes, minimally tart; lasting, slightly biting and burning alcoholic finish. Intense but overall mild and balanced.

Draught at De Klomp, Linköping. Somewhat hazy golden/apricot color, with a rich leating offwhite/yellowish head. Hoppy floral aroma, grassy, caramel, biscuits, herbal, citrus and raisins. Hoppy grassy flavor, floral, toffee, hay, citrus, some caramel. Hoppy herbal finish. Not what I expected.

Bottle shared with wyzzywyz22 on his birthday, in Wallasey. Orange coloured with a small off white head. Aroma is hops, tropical fruit, flavour is similar, nice hop bitterness, malts compliment well. I too don’t think this is a barley wine, tasty beer it is though.

Orange fruits - apricot, citrus rind and mango. Uber sweet with vanilla and honey as well. Seems a bit flat, but otherwise solid BW.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a deep golden orange with a thick off white head. Sticky lacing around the glass. Nose is a pine Forrest with grainy cereal malts. Fuck this smells fresh even after a year of aging! Taste is predominantly pine and grapefruit with the grainy malts coming through. Thick mouthfeel, pine is coating my palate. Booze isn't overly evident must be due to the aging. This is winner for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, dunkle überreife Früchte, holzig. Geschmack malzig süß, leicht alkoholisch, trockene überreife Früchte, holzig.

Bottle: Poured a dark blonde color ale with a medium size foamy head with limited retention and some light lacing. Aroma of grainy cereal notes with quite bit of sweetness. Taste is also dominated by grainy cereal notes with some dry notes with quite a bit of residual sugar. Body is about average with medium carbonation and light warming alcohol. Interesting experience but just too sweet for me at the end of the day.

One of the best barleywine style that I have ever tasted. Girlfriend, father in law and mother-in-law says that we can repeat this experience. Delicious.

Riiisgoop ! Kanske inte lika slående som US version men fortförande riktigt bra.hel del blommighet och fruktighet i aromen. Tydlig och kraftig beska i smaken, kanske inte lika rund och balanserad som den andra risgoopen..

Risgoop pours a dark, bright orange with a thin, tight bright head. The nose is fruity and quite malty with a warm booze note, pine and grains. Sweet grainy middle with a ton of fruity hop notes. The finish is bitter with nice amounts of grapefruit and pine. Warm and boozy on the finish with a good malt to hop balance overall.
