3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a 750 mL bottle. Pours cloudy apricot brown. Off-white head with nice lacing. Aroma is rich in hops with notes of citrus with grapefruit coming through. Flavour is surprisingly sweet given the nose. Sweet malts and rice syrup combine with prickly hops to give an interesting take on the original Boogoop Barley Wine.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at Fairbar. Light bronze body with an off-white head. Round, hoppy aroma with notes of citrus. Rich and well-rounded sweet taste with lots of hops and heavy bitterness. The alcohol is fully hidden. Medium body with average carbonation. Long and bitter finish. I have not had too many barley wines as they did not appeal to me initially, but this is delicious and very drinkable. Looks like I should explore this style further.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at Mikkeller. Quite fruity, orange, grape, apple, honey, mildly boozy, long sweet finish. A bit of a disappointment as I love the style and expected much more wheat character, this one is quite syrupy and too sweet for me.

4.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
