Rich hop aroma, grapefruit, floral and a great hop mix. Sharp hop taste, rich taste, warming. Orange body, small soapy head. Stunning brew, complex and powerful. At only one coin, was perhaps my festival favourite. (ZeeBra)

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Uhlen (173) - Trondheim, NORWAY - APR 18, 2013
Cloudy golden liquid with a big white head. Rice actually appears in the nose, alongside with alcohol and caramelmalts. Taste is alot less hoppy than it’s brother hvedegoop, and the beer feels alot thicker aswell. Fruity and hoppy still, with alot of sweetness.

great beer. poured golden orange. fruity, citrusy nose with a good medium body... Definitely not a typical barley wine, which i’m guessing can be attributed to the use of rice. Delicious, nonetheless.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden amber. Aroma and taste are rich hops, fruits, malt, pine, grapefruits, peach, apricot and has a full body. More like an IIPA than a barley wine.

Keg at Craft Brixton. Dark orange colour, small golden bubbly head. Aroma is alcohol, sweetness, quite fruity, bit of orange, grapefruit, quite prickly. Taste is fruity again, but can’t taste so much booze. Dangerous. Bit of creaminess too, and big malty backbone. Initially get the booze and the bitter grapefruit, but the finish is very smooth and lingering. Drinks quite easily but can sense the heaviness lurking. Much prefer it to the boogoop, much more subtle. Hoppy burn, toffee hint, nice fruitiness. Yum.
