3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Interesting....an APA with mango and passionfruit. Pours a bright orangey amber with a thin white head that looks almost soapy. The nose has an odd fruityness and a light citrus hop. The flavor has a nice mango and passionfruit with a mild bitterness on the finish and a light citric flavor. Overall a light resin and medium body and a pretty good beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Another descent beverage from Mikkeller. The bitterness does overpower the other flavors but that’s typical in mild hoppy ale. I will say I enjoyed the scent very much. My palate was affected but the experience wasn’t unpleasant. If you’re a fan of Mikkeller and the price is right go for a Tiger Baby.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
In short: A well-malted and well-hopped, aromatic, nourishing and refreshing IPA. Very good
How: Tap at Black Back Pub, Waterbury VT
The look: Cloudy dark orange topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose is an explosion of orangy hops with some pine needles and some tropical fruits. I had this beer on the other side of the Atlantic from where it was brewed but the aroma was so bright and vibrant that I could have believed it was brewed next-door the week before. Taste starts with a full body creamy malty body, caramelized but not too much. A strong hops presence that had a refreshing bitterness of medium intensity. This is a well balanced beer, not a bitterness bomb. Very refreshing and somewhat nourishing. And you’d think that after a week-end of excessive drinking, I would not be entering beer ratings at work on a Monday morning while thinking about what beer I’ll open tonight. You’d think.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle at home, from my Minneapolis Town Hall glass. Pours hazy deep orange, thin cream-coloured head, spotty lacing. Nose is big tropical fruit, peaches, grapefruit, no soap, all aromatics - I could smell this all day! Flavours of big grapefruit and mango, papaya, white peach, nectarines, and honey. A bit slick in the mouth, spicy enough towards the finish to make this carry off perfectly. An amazing APA!!!!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a 2 finger white head that settles slowly to leave some very thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is like tropical fruits with some floral notes and light grains. Taste is light fruity sweetness with some light hop bitterness in the finish. A very fruity beer for the style, but quite tasty and definitely worth a try.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750mL bottle, pours a murky orange with a small beige head. Aroma of citrus hops, dried orange peel, passionfruit and mango. Flavour of dried orange peel and grapefruit upfront, with the tropical fruits further back and very dry citrus hops to finish. Very dynamic and unusually complex for a pale ale, with everything working cohesively. Great pale ale.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I poured slightly hazy, jewel-like amber, honey colored brew with ample, sticky orange/ tan head. The aroma is full of orange-y, citrusy hops, honeysuckle, caramel. My labels says 8.0%, but this description says 5%. A slightly acidic bitterness tingles the tip of my tongue. Mellow citrus fruit sweetness balances well the citrus rind bitterness. It’s full flavored but not overbearing. Palate thins a bit quickly, I wish I knew how old this bottle is. Sadly, not much stands out about his beer.
