750ml purchased in Sylvania, Ohio. Pours a golden straw with off white heading. Smell is citrusy hops, some zest, light grass, and very little tropical fruit if any--maybe a tiny bit of mango rind. Taste is slightly fruity, grassy almost wheaty hops that continue through the finish. It manages to be very drinkable and balanced (alcohol is barely detectable), but much of the green colored passion fruit lies at the bottom of the bottle. I would suggest pouring out the bottom evenly between glasses like a hefeweizen.

Bottle, bb 6/17(!). Deep gold with an inch of white head. Lots of tropical fruit with that heavy ripe aroma that piles of mangos have, fair bit of not so acidic passionfruit too. Pine, kumquats, toast. Fairly light bodied. In the taste you can tell there’s fruit not just fruity hops, but it’s not overdone. Pretty clean and with paler malt than suggested by the aroma. The pine and citrus help to keep things from being too fruit saladish and the finish is dryish and just bitter enough to offset the sweetness. Really refreshing and quite delicious.

Keg @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy orange with foamy white head. Very mild, almost non-existent passionfruit and mango. More of a malty caramel presence with soft pine. Decent though.

Âmbar escura levemente opaca, espuma de media formação e retenção. Aroma de maracujá, leve maltado, resinal/amadeirada, fermento. Paladar trasparece o amargor, mantendo também a presença do malte, leve adstringencia. Corpo e carbonatação leves. Aftertaste lembra frutas amarelas, baixa/média duração do amargor.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 18B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 26/05/17). AROMA: nice aroma with a lot of fruitness present, either from hops or from the adjuncts, of grapefruit, floral and some passionfruit and ripe mango. slightly sweet malt background with a caramelized character. APPEARANCE: ambar color and slightly hazy. medium ivory head with style-average retention. TASTE: hop flavour dominates with notes of resin and pine and very faint fruitness. clean grainy malt background. medium bitterness that lasts beyond a dry and slight acidic finish. PALATE: medium-light to light body with average carbonation. slight acidic finish. OVERALL: an APA with good aroma but doesnt deliver on the flavor and with a slight acidic bite (not from carbonic acid).

Tap at Mikkeller Tokyo. Light orange with a nice soapy white head. Aromas of grapefruit, pine and citrus with some tropical fruit. Taste is pretty similar with a medium body. Good bitterness. Finish is crisp and bitter. Good APA.
