Bottle 75 cl. Pours an opaque black with a thick, delicious and light brown head leaving a neat lacework. Hard roasted maltiness in the nose with some fruit and vanilla. Quite full-bodied, hard roasted malt and again vanilla. Dried fruit and chocolate with an ashy edge. Ends malty bitter. Very delicious. 281109

Bottle from this years Christmas rating gatering 2009-11-27 AP: black, light brown heavy head AR: coffee and chocolate F: rosted swedish coffee and chocolate (dark bitter, with high cacao %) but still smooth and flavors are lingering for a long while. Nice that this was the last offical on this years test (I don’t want to have any more chistmas ale for 2 weeks)!

Big brown ridiculously creamy head, and lacing! Colour is pitch black. Aroma is surprisingly mild, but it is roasted enough to make me excited. spices, burnt coffee, brown sugar and dark chocolate is also in the nose. Flavour is rich and with a big bite, spices and a heavily roasted note of coffe and chocolate finishing with a very appealing bitterness at the end. Mouthfeel is smooth as silk. Mikkeller is quickly becoming my favourite brewery!

Lovely locking black with a huge dark brown head that leaves shitloads of lazing on my snifter. Aroma is straight forward hoppy with notes of coffe and spices. Mouthfeels is extremey smooth and pleasant. Flavour is acidic roasted malt, spices and american hops. A bit too acidic but besides that very pleasant with lovely presentation and awsome mouthfeel.
