olio (6144) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 23, 2014
375 ml bottle.
Pours golden color with a small head. Faint hops on the nose, sour fruits, yeast, herbal notes and gooseberry bush. Gooseberries, grapefruits, some yeast, distant green apples, faint hops and mild earthy/barnyard notes. A bit weird but okay.

375 ml bottle. Pours a golden colour with a small head. Aroma of fresh citrusy hops, cellar and sour fruitiness. Flavour of citrusy hops, tartness, cellar, mild sweetness, red berries and harsh minerals. Bitterness is there, but it sort of runs over the base beer lambic-ness, which I very much like. Medium bodied. As this is a fairly new beer and it already has some cellar notes I find this as a disappointment.

37,5 cl bottle @ tiong, BBE 27.02.2024
Aroma has grapefruit, earthy tones and some orange. Feels like Cantillon. Flavour is somewhat tart with orange, citrus, and grapefruit. Also some distant lactic tones. Aftertaste and burps have some moldy cellar notes. Rather difficult to locate the dry hopping here, all I taste is sourness.

tiong (3733) - Espoo, FINLAND - AUG 23, 2014
375ml bottle from Mikkeller & Friends

Pours dark orange with a tiny head. Aroma of tart gooseberries, sourness, mild hoppiness and earthy notes. Taste is hoppy, tart and sour with gooseberries, earthy notes and cellar. Finish is tartish, sour and mildly hoppy with some fruity and floral notes. A gueuze-style sour ale with some hoppiness.

Bottle split at Chriso from BD online, 10/07/14. Lightly hazed golden with a good sized light beige covering that dissipates but retains. Nose is tangy citric sherbets, pissy, farmyard, bitter lemon, straw, dank wood effect. Taste comprises sharp citric notes, green berry pang, tarte grapeskins, light apple effect, dank wood, big lemon notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp close. Decent enough lambic.

piscator34 (1960) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 15, 2014
Bottled sample shared with oakbluff. Pale gold in colour with spritzy carbonation. Aromas are of wet stones, funk, and a hint of lemon. Definitely mineral forward on the mouth. The lemon element comes through more here too. Light funk and cereal grains back things up. Light bodied with a decent amount of acidity. Not quite as complex as the great geuzes of Belgium, but still tasty. Compares favorably with Cuvee Renee.

   AROMA 9/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 9/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Scottishchris (175) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 13, 2014
Bottle from the hive. Slightly hazy orange, small scummy head. Funky and sharp nose, lemon and citrus. Vinegary sour taste but smooth and lightly fruity. Don't know much about 'traditional' sour beers but this tastes good to me.

On tap @Crowbar. Pours hazy golden with minimal, white head. In aroma mainly citrus, tart notes adn some grain in the back. In taste lemon tartness, fruity sweetness comes later but the beer is very dry. Light body, high carbonation. Very good lambic.

reebtogi (4151) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 23, 2014
375ml bottle pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger and a half of white head that settles to leave some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is lemon with some grains and yeast. Taste is a lemon tartness with a fruity and malty sweetness finishing very dry with some yeasty notes. Light to medium bodied with some generous carbonation. A nicely crafted lambic ale that is worth checking out.
