Tap @ Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar - St. Louis: Sticky lacing all over the glass with a mild hop aroma and hoppy Belgian yeast in the flavors. Not bad. This brewer is always creative.

(bottle) slightly hazy ruby-amber colour with a frothy light-beige head. aroma of sweet spices, milk chocolate and some light coconut, quite resinous, with lots of brown sugar and orange peel. flavour is more orange peel, light roasted malts and herbal hops, slightly leathery, with a hint of grapefruit, some more brown sugar and a medium-bitter herbal-hoppy finish. medium- to heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy, brown in colour, white head. In aroma caramel, some fruits, bretts. In taste hoppy bitter, malty plus fruity notes. Bretts also present in taste. The beer in overall was quite similar to Orval (note that I drunk this after some time, hops in aroma wasn’t that present). Very nice beer.

Clear dark amber, small frothy offwhite head. Aroma has red berries and vanilla. Very dry and bretty. Not your typical BSA. Sour berries and subdued malt. Fluffy mouthfeel. Atypical BSA.

Bamsen78 (4446) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 29, 2015
Bottle. Pours hazy amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit and caramel malt, with notes of hops and yeats. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with sweetish notes of caramel malt and fruity and touches of yeast. Bitter and slightly acetic aftertaste. Hinyts of barrel. Soft carbonation. Not bad but clearly a non-Belgian Belgian Strong Ale.
