Iíve had this beer almost a year (I think). The cap seems to suggest it can go another five years. I thought this was a wile ale, but itís not. Sweet and caramel. Very much a Belgian ale. Nice. Good aroma. Enjoyable and mellow (probably from sitting for some time).

04/02/2010. Bottle from Hashigo Zake. Strong ale, between pale and amber, with a nice whack of resinous fruity hops and a lovely yeast perfume. Moreish, balanced, and very drinkable for 8%. Shared between 4 guys, possibly worthy of a 4+ on here and itís intrigued me enough 4 another look sometime...

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Pours a murky yellow brown with a white head. The aroma is apple and banana with some spices and some tartness/wildness. The flavor is alcohol with the same mix of fruit that was in the aroma. There is a little brett funk in the flavor as well. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Clouded orange color with a large head. Smells sweet with clay and rosy tones. Also some perfumy notes. Mouthfeel is very smooth. Taste is light spice and gentle banana. Easy malts and light grain also fill this in. Not bad.

75cl bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours copper with a decent beige head that didnít really last too long. There is a funky wild aroma and a very strange flavor that is almost indescribeable. It taste like perfume. There is a harsh feel to it, but sort of in a good way.
