Amber colored clear beer with a creamy off white head. Fizzy carbonation. Nice citrus taste, bitter and citrus / grapefruit more at the end. An Orval-lookalike but with US hopps: for sure a nice experiment.

750ml bottle thanks to savvy1984 (if memory serves).
Appearance : Amber with a small head.
Aroma : Light citrusy hops with light brett. Nice resinous profile.
Taste : Resinous hops, a bit floral with light brett. Finish quite resinous and dry.
Overall : I know this is not very fresh anymore. I wasn’t aware that this was a hoppy beer so I didn’t cared to open it sooner. Enjoyable brett flavours. Nice resinous nose. Interesting but past its prime.

On tap @ Patricks. Slightly hazy amber body with a big off-white head. Fine and refreshing citric fruity aroma with just a hint of brett. Flavor is refreshing citric fruity, grapefruit, bitter and slightly funky. Medium body and moderate bitter finish. Funny to compare with regular It’s Alive, seems like the American hops is hiding almost all the funkyness away. Still a nice beer, but a bit straight forward.

Pours clear amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of grape, kiwi, vinegar and brett. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

draft @ Delirium, Bruxelles.

Lovely spicy citrus American hop charicters interplay between rich malt notes and dirty, sweaty, horse-blanket bret notes.

Nice strong scent and taste of American hops, right bitter and persistent aftertaste. One could well believe this is an IPA. Very nice beer. Should probably not be saved for as long that there says on the bottle. ( But you can probably not :-) )

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2012 750ml bottle, cavedirect. Fresh citrus and pine, but more in the aroma than in the taste. Light and refreshing, tangy and quite a tingle on the tongue. Very American in style. *Re-rated 31.7.12. Much more full-bodied this time around. Immediate warmth on the tongue and in the chest, big floral finish, lingering aftertaste and the brettanomyces very obvious.

Bottle 750 ml
Aroma crisp, clean, soft , light softness with slight sourness. Clean base. Neat. 8-
Appearance mid hazed amber with large creamy big top. Good lace.
Flavor and Palate : medium plus bodied, citrus tart-sweet character. Smooth , forward made, none of barbaric roughness here. Some peppery spice hints at finish. Quiet nice.
