I get a lot of strong acidic hops in the nose, I like just a bit (or tons and tons!) more cascade though. Creamy dark brown looking, it somehow manages to be light and clear around the edges and dark and smokey looking in the middle. Great lacing. Strong, strong hop flavour, only later on does the malt and belgan yeast really set in. So many things going on on paper, its almost overload in your mouth. Well balanced for so many extreme flavours.

Pours lovely from the bottle with a light orange hue. Nice floral aroma with some underlying notes of tartnesss. Refreshing to drink!

Light amber color; big creamy head. Wonderful aroma, hoppy, creamy, with delicate fruits (peaches, mango, sweet oranges). Medium body strength, but quite round mouthfeel, with very good, sweetish toffee flavor, perfectly complemented by the fruity hops. The final is well balanced as well, less powerful than the flavor, maybe missing some sweetness for my taste; in the end there is an aftertaste of Belgian yeast. Excellent beer.

Rating #1100!! And appropriate, considering itís also Memorial Day! Anyway, pours a cloudy brown/orange with a thick off-white head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruits and floral hops. Smells like an IPA, an awesome IPA at that! Flavor is not a fruity but has a nice bitter finish. Definitely quite hoppy with some sweet caramel malt. Nothing Belgian about this one to me. This is a great beer--I really enjoyed this one! 9/4/8/4/17 (4.2/5)

Amber color, slightly hazy due to the bottle conditioning. A really big off-white head with both thick and creamy, and airy, parts. Very good head retention and beautiful chunky lacings. A very fascinating smell. Fresh fruity hop aromas (grapefruit, gooseberries, kiwi fruit) mix with pine-needles and fairly big dose of earthy brett. Here is also some grass, resin and a biscuity backbone. This smell is fantastic. The taste is even better than the smell, absolutely amazing. Very tasty hop flavors of exotic fruits, citric notes, pine-needles, resins and slightly raw floral notes. A big brett character sits side by side with the hops. Earth, yeast, some caramel. In the finish, there is a rather big and very pleasant bitterness coupled with a great combination of chewy malts, spicy and peppery hops and faint mineral notes. Medium body, very creamy with soft carbonation. The beer slides oh so easily down the throat. The taste of this one was as close to beer heaven is it gets, I guess. The rather aggressive hop profile and equally aggressive brett character works fantastic together and the beer is just really really taste. Almost ridiculously easy to drink. Serving type: bottle

Slightly cloudy orange stuff with a fairly thick tan head and messy messy lacing. Iím excited right out of the gate with this thing especially after absorbing the first scents within my nose holes. Must, moldy cheese, fruit, yeast, light spice, dry crackers, lightly pungent, peaches, floral (roses), hard grapefruit candy - thatís a lot of stuff! The initial taste is not one of my favourites but, damn, there is something great going on here and I think Iíll turn the corner by the time Iím half way through this bottle. Unique from the get go: Oddly musty and moldy with soft fruits and, at least early on, unrelenting colossal harsh bitterness. The stark bitterness makes it almost too hard to drink. Peppery spice, grapefruit, orange, faint lychee. Well, there it is... every sip I like this more and more. Huge bitter finish. There is a spice burn a bit, some caramel ????? (dunno about that one), resin, finishes hard and very bitter. Do I love this beer or am I bored with it.. Iíll go... lovish. Side note - just opened up a bottle of Bons Voeux and I gotta say that now I like USAlive even more.

Tasted 2011-01-13. Pours semi-clear orange with yellow teinted white head. Grassy hop aroma. Very powerful. Bretts present. It generally tastes very fresh and hoppy. The finish is bitter. Very bitter. A little too bitter. Prolly unpleasantly so for some. For many. I just find a bit annoying. Itís actually not the bitterness per say, that I mind. Itís that very last impression of the beer. The finish of the finish. That very last split second of taste is not just bitter. Itís harshly unpleasant. It only lasts for a short while, but itís so anoying, I hafta drown it with another sip. And then it takes itself from there. Iíll live.

Orangy brown in colour. Light lacing head. Smells like a typical impact. Light, smooth, citrus. Thick and smooth mouth feel. Hoppy and lightly bitter. All the good of an impact with minimal bitterness. Really easy to drink. 8% really? Cant tell. Would recommend to any hop head, all the taste with minimum bitterness.
