pintbypint (1002), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Nov 6, 2009 750ml brown bottle, corked. Cloudy orange/amber coloured with a solid, tall creamy head. Some soapy lacing. Aroma has some orange-like sweetness up front, some hemp notes, brett. Malt has some nutty qualities, earthy, woody, grapefruit and floral hop flavours. Medium bitter finish, lasting grapefruit hops aftertaste. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Great mix of bitterness and brett, which to me equals a dangerously drinkable, and no sign of the 8% alcohol. hobbersr (393), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Nov 5, 2009 Pours a hazy orange with an off white, frothy lacing head. The aroma is pungent with west coast hops. Citrus, honey, brett, resin, licorice, and soft fruit on the nose. The taste is an explosion of flavor. Citrus rind, barnyard funk, pine, resin, licorice, and honey. Very malty, bretted, imperial IPA-Belgian strong ale. Cole (270), , Alberta, Canada Nov 4, 2009 Pours Clear brown with a tall thick creamy head.Great aroma very hoppy, fresh and floral with a hint of brett. The flavour is very complex. Strong hoppy flavour like an american IPA strong and flaral with a very welcome bitterness, and very citrus as well. you can really taste the Amarillo hops. The finish is a bit malty with the sourness of the brett coming through. There is a slight chocolate flavour mid palate and the whole flavour lingers and really stays with you. This is one of the Best Beers I have ever had. It is as if they have taken my 2 favorite styles, (American IPA, and Orval) and forced them together like an amazing beergasam that starts out soo strong and intenses, them amplifies, and finishes in the most interesting way. And then stays with you all night. All in all Awesome. cederdorff (14), holstebro, Denmark Nov 3, 2009 citrus, flowers, perfume, red, cloudy, tan foam, very bitter, full body, creamy, lively, bitter, long finish, saxo (3516), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Oct 30, 2009 Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich hops, cinnamon, malt and fruits. presario (2955), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Oct 16, 2009 Dear Penthouse,
I never thought it would happen to me! I found myself at the GABF standing next to a playboy centerfold, now I can find out if the curtain matches the drapes. It doesn’t and this bitch has a yeast inflection I think they call it brett.
Weird scent for an IPA. Weird flavour for a Brett beer. Aroma is soft woody Brett. Flavour is big woody hops with a soft Brett undertone. Some aluminum. Short finish with lasting soft hops. Travlr (700), Washington, Washington DC, USA Oct 8, 2009 1 pint 9.4 fluid ounce bottle at Pizzeria Paradiso. Murky orange with a big brown head. Aroma of yeast and cinnamon.
