330 ml bottle poured into a Brooklyn tulip pint glass. Hazy somewhat murky brown with beige head. Aromas of floral hops, toast, spice, subtle cocoa. Tastes of floral hops, rye and spice, toasty notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Nice hoppy brown ale.

Bottle. Amber, average to large and mostly lasting light brown head. Moderate to full, malty and lightly sweetish aroma, some caramel and light roasted malt, faint bread and some citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, some caramel and light roasted malt, some citrus/piney hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and dryish - lightly sweetish, light caramel and roasted malt, faint bread, piney - some citrus hoppyness. OK bitterness for brown ale - not too sweet. Still this is (only a) brown ale. Nice head though.

Draft at Mikkeller and Friends in Reykjavik The ale poured a dark amber with a small tan head and lacing. This is an excellent ale with a medium body and average carbonation. The aroma has notes of caramel malts. , The taste had bread and sweet malts. The finish had some unexpected bitterness in the last swallow.

Draught at Mikkeller & Friends. Murky light brown, nice lasting off white head. Lovely nutty, milk chocolate brown ale notes in the aroma, flavour had a nuttiness up front with a rising bitterness toward the finish. Nice

330 ml. bottle @ home as “Vesterbro Brown”. Procured from Willems & Zoon. BBF 22/10/2016. Dark brown amber, faint red varnish wood hue, disappearing light brown head. Nose is sweet caramel, candy, maple syrup & delicious fruity hops, brown apple hops that remind me of Sorachi Ace. Taste is maple, cheap grainy chocolate, cooked brown apple, cacao puffs, light pine hops, light bitter plastic & faint leaves. Body is a bit grainy with cheap chocolate. The Sorachi Ace-like hops definitely elevated this one for me. Still it is a brown ale in the end, a style not really meant to truly excel. Still I did quite enjoy drinking this & I can see this truly excelling as a house beer, this does seem like a beer that I can enjoy drinking a lot off.
