Hazy amber color. Very nice aroma, delicate, sweet caramel and fruity hops. Dry mouthfeel, light caramel flavor, frankly quite empty.

A Mes rate. Draught at Københavns Ølfestival 2010.
Mid amber coloured with a slight haze and thin off white head. Slight toasty and roasty notes with a fair bit of toffee and a good lick of slightly tart ripe fruit. Rather bready in the malt and a little too sweet for me, yet strangely dry in the finish. Interesting but certainly not the best I’ve had from Mikkeller.

On tap. Slightly hazy amber golden with a small off-white head. Very discreet caramel aroma. Medium body, lightly sweet caramel and fruit. Very subdued bitterness with the alcohol being surprisingly well hidden. The original barrel aged version was no great beer, but this base beer is almost shockingly bland. Actually I would go as far as to say this should never have been released. 080510

On tap at KØ-10. An almost clear beer, golden in color and topped by a dense, off-white head leaving lacings. Canned tropical fruits in the aroma, some alcohol can be detected too. It’s grains in the flavor, but mostly fruity sweetness like in the aroma. Some alcohol too, and a sweet, fruity finish. Full-bodied, almost sticky. A nice beer, sort of easy drinkable despite it’s alcohol content and sweetness, but it’s also quite forgettable. 100506

(Draught at Mikkeller Bar) Poured red and cloudy. Head was medium sized and white. Aroma contained malts and caramel. Palate was full bodied, warming and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, mildly molasses, hops, caramless and bitterness. Afertaste was mildly sweet and bitter.

Defreni (2997) - Husum, DENMARK - JUL 23, 2010
