3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle. Medium hazy, orange bronze, piled white head. Tripel-like, inappropriate aroma; gooseberry sourness, orange liqueur, tweak of rauch, background banana and clove. Ashy, yeasty flavour like a BC English effort gone slightly wrong; Tunnel, gooseberry, palinka, peardrop. As a beer, fine, as a weizenbock..fail. But I can’t think of a non-Bavarian effort that’s succeeded. Two minor stinkers in a row from Mikkeller but I still love ’em.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: SEP 1, 2012 Update 120831: Tasted another bottle. The light milky touch found last time has grown much stronger over the last five months. Sort of reminding me of a well used classroom sponge. The bottle wasn’t past BB-date either. If I were to rerate it, I’d be giving it a score of 3-4-3-3-6-1.9, but I won’t. Glad I don’t have more of these.
Bottle. A quite clear one, amber in color and with a finger-thick off-white head leaving some lacings. The aroma is citrusy, wheaty and banana-ish with a faint touch of something sour. Effervescent on the palate, medium to full bodied and with flavors of banana, citrus, pale malts and something lightly milkysour. Pleasant bitterness, both initially and in the end. A decent weizenbock indeed, but a bit unclean maybe. 120405

draft at Blue Monk, deep golden pour with fluffy white head. Some raisiny notes, sweet. OK sort of non complex. Fuller syrupy mouthfeel. OK

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml bottle. Copenhagen, Denmark.
Cloudy amber colour with small white head.
Sweet fruitiness, yeast and wheat in aroma.
Flavour is very yeasty with alcohol. Some fruity sweetness and wheat.
I don’t know... maybe this is the Weizenbock I would like to drink again. The label can’t be much uglier.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Ok øl men lidt kedelig.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with medium creamy off-white head. Slightly alcoholic aroma, caramel sweetness, herbal note. Taste is like a strong Kristallweizen, some spicy acridity, late a touch of creamy sweetness. A bit disappointing, i miss more yeasty notes.
