2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with medium creamy off-white head. Slightly alcoholic aroma, caramel sweetness, herbal note. Taste is like a strong Kristallweizen, some spicy acridity, late a touch of creamy sweetness. A bit disappointing, i miss more yeasty notes.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Selezione Birra 2012, Rimini. Pours an amber color with a medium white head. Aroma is wheat, banana and hops. Lots of hops, actually. Taste is malty and bitter, with grains and hops. Good carbonation. Very hoppy for the style, but pleasant.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml bottle.
Pours a hazy amber orange colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of sweet orange, wheat and some yeast. Flavour of sweet malts, wheat, orange, banana, strong hops and yeast. Medium bodied, thing mouthfeel and a long, warming, fruity and quite bitter finish. Alcohol comes through a bit too much. A bit thin but nicely hopped Weizenbock.

You know those long yellow fruit things - yep, that’s the fella: a banana, and that sugary stuff - yep that’s the fella: sugar. Those.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen
Hazy amber and copper color. Aroma of sweet caramel, chewing gum and fruits, but not necessarily banana; some blood (iron). Sweetish flavor, quite cloying, with too high alcohol perception, and rather evident sweet liquorice trait, that is not uncommon in Weizen Bocks, yet not really required; the wheat, hefe or weizen character is subdued; correct bitterness.
Not bad, but not a favorite attempt at the style, I suppose.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Drank at 4:20, Rome, on MesandSim’s epic stag do. Big thank you to Alex, you’re a king amongst men! You know those slugs that are an orange brown colour? I had one in my house last night, 1st round tko to the weasel but questions have been asked of Big John McCarthy as to why he didn’t check both fighters for hidden salt. It’s over, one of us moves on, the other has been relegated to Strikeforce. Anyway, it’s a murky orange brown with a thin white head. Usually love Mikkeller so I was kind of excited to see a weizen bock. The usual yeasty and spicy flavours with less than usual fruit content. Which made me happy. Very drinkable and tasty. I liked this.
