Lets us introduce Win Bic. Win Bic is a new friend in the X-mas family from Mikkeller.
Its a blended Spontan Ale and Saison, It is 6,0% abv, It is awesome and it comes in a magnum bottle. Welcome Win Bic.
The Tasting panel Said:
Cloudy light orange with a fine foamy thick white head
Aroma – A mild spicy impression with acidic green apples, cloves and a sweetness as from dried apricots. We also find some bitterness as from lemon peel and a lactic touch. You clearly sense the saison notes as white pepper and mild various spices.
The taste blasts out the saison expressions in the beginning and we think of oxidated apples as you find in certain ciders – after that you get the lactic and sour impression that appears very refreshing and drinkable. A freshness topped with dry impressions of the barrels. You feel like another sip.
The mouth feel is not as carbonated and fizzy as in most of Mikkellers spontan beers. The finish is very dry with a touchy bitterness that again reminds of citric peel. For some this citric bitterness could get too much.

Lambic mixed with saison!? I’m intrigued. Little foam. Amber cloudy color. Citrus aroma with a hint of earthy tones. Sour taste as in geuze. Still missing something. Still an interesting mix of styles worth to try out.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma initially strong lactic acid, gives way to lemon peel, wet dog, malts, white wine, light butterscotch, dried arpricots, light spices. Light sour flavour, bitter lemon peel (the white part), slight white pepper and spices, saison yeast. Spicy finish, bitter, lemon peel, some pediococcus.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours dark gold with a white head. Taste apples, citrus, slightly sour. I thought this was good. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ home. Hazed golden orange pour with a white head. Almost skunky. A lot of herbs, oak, and white grape. Plenty of straw. A little bit on the funky side. The flavor is pretty tangy and zesty. A lot of musty funk, damp oak, mushroom, and woody herbs. Some hints of pear and stone fruit, too.

(bottle) slightly opalescent golden-amber colour with a frothy white head. aroma of lime, bretty funk and pungent bittering hops, with a light hint of black pepper, cherry stones and sugar icing. flavour is grass, more bretty funk and lemons, with a touch of apricots and a very dry light-bitter finish. medium-bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottle from Mikkeller webshop. Fruity smell, tart with berries and wine. Similar taste. Kind of simple and the wine doesn’t bring an improving dimension.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie, consumed at home Thursday 9th April 2015 Deep golden colour with a big bubbles head, fresh nose. Soft in mouth, very fresh, don’t know much about this beer but this does taste a bit wine like. Streaky citrus but with a rumbling and building dry finish, really dry. A little Belgian yeastiness in background but wonderfully tart. Lovely. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov14 3.8
