Adenila (630), Denmark May 12, 2007 Updated: May 22, 2007An honor to be the first ratebeerrien to judge this one. SO!....Did i have high expectations for this one? Yes. Was i afraid i’d get disappointed? Yes. Anyway, my little borther who pledge to breezers and hate the scent of pale lagers had a zip of my hob juice, and he absolutly loved it (though i had to drink his sample for him) Anyway...Strong aroma of elder flowers, oranges and mandarine, with some nice citric/floral notes. Appearance was perfect, deep hazy oraneg with a fine light orange head. Flavor was (of course) bitter, but by no means too much, every zip i went WOW, this is...what i was hoping for. Like 5 minutes after i finished the sample, the bitterness was still playíng trickst on me, went from a regular heavy bitterness, to a creamy moutfeel that i absolutly enjoyed. And to top it off! Standing in line at 4pm totally brought me in festival mood, people pushing, yelling, cheating and laughing reminded me of a roskilde festival food stand in prime time. So what can i say, expectations fullfilled! Maria (3975), Thisted, Denmark May 19, 2007 Københavnske Øldage 07. Draught. This is a beautiful, orange-golden beer with a nice, creamy head. Are you out of your mind - what an absolutely lovely aroma!! It’s perfectly hopped with piny, grassy, resiny, citrussy and fruity notes and a soothing hint of caramel. The flavour is simply amazing, and I now realize how much I adore these extreme hop-head beers. And it’s beyond my understanding, that anyone can make a beer with only 5%, that has SO much flavour - so keep ’em coming!! I don’t have to serch for the bitterness, but perhaps there is something wrong with med, because I honestly think that it’s pleasant and smooth - extreme, sure, but.... It has a nice, slightly sweet caramel foundation, piny notes of resin, grass, orange citrus fruits, a hint of peach, grapefruit and the finish is veeeeery loooong - and I simply cannot let go, I need another sip - woow - what a beer!! 2168 Thomas_E (4814), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 8, 2007 Cloudy orange colour with a dense off white head. Hoppy, pineapple fruity aroma with pine bitter notes and only a light caramel sweetness. Hoppy, hoppy and hoppy flavor with pine and fruity notes. One dimensional and out of balance, but interesting. Enjoyit (1090), Vadum, Denmark Aug 26, 2007 Very hazy brown with a beige head. An aroma of hops, lots of citrus, notes of sweet malt and pines. A flavor of skin of a grapefruit, lemongrass and hops. Drink it and get a dry mouth! Theis (2039), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 17, 2007 Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2007. Unclear amber (green tone) - offwhite head. This is just hop, hop and hop, with a juicy sensation.Very dry... you can almost smell the dusty dryness. Resin, grass, pine, dusty, grape, citrus, light honey, apple, peach, fruity, surprisingly smooth with all the hop, no malty taste, and high IBU.
