Draught @ Københavnske Øldage 2007 in Copenhagen. Sampel #1 Black color with small virtually none head. Aroma is heavy malty, dark chocolate, coffee, soya sauce, dried dark fruits, alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet light to moderate acidic and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration. Body is full, texture is syrupy / oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. Sampel #2 Black color with a average frothy good lacing mostly lasting brown head. Aroma and flavor the same as #1. Just enorm and a extreme stout signed Mikkeller. ;o))

[Another century celebrated with a Mikkeller beer - this time 9100] Draft. A pitch black beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of soy sauce, chocolate, licorice, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, alcohol, roasted malt, soy sauce, and licorice - the strongest though is the chocolate.

CBF07 sample from tap. Pours pitch black with little head. Aroma is dark, coffee, slight tobacco, slight citric and fruity. Flavour is chocolate, sweet and distinct bitter/sour. Finish is a complex chocolate note with hops bitterness. Almost no carbonation.

Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2007
(On tap) Completely pitch black and opaque with a tiny, light brown head. Intense aroma of roasted malt and sweetish, dried fruit - dates in particular. Extremely full-bodied - you almost have to cut your way through this - but flat, completely flat. Extremely vinous - this is like a good port. The malt base is extreme with notes of cough syrup and a shipload of dried fruit. The sweetness is excessive. The alcohol burn is extreme in the finish. Very delicate but extremely unbalanced. A sipper - over the whole of an evening! 120507

Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Extremely black. Vinous licorice aroma. Sweet and tarry, dense mouthfeel. Thick and chewy, can I get knife and fork, please? Punishingly flavourful with thick licorice and notes of petroleum and lacquer. Potent and viscous. Just enormous.

MiP (12136) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUN 21, 2007
Draught at KØ07. Fruity and roasted aroma. Black colour. Quite sweet and peppery flavour. Also vinous. Very late and very roasted aftertaste. Strangely, I find the mouthfeel a little thin considering the ABV. Sorry to be a drag, but this is just not my kind of beer, it is very rough.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2007. I LOVE THIS. Black - brown head. Chokolate-power. Dried dark fruits, plums, raisins, plums, brown sauce, syrup, soya, oily, used motor oil, light roasted, brown sugar, a bit portwine like, high very nice hoppy, and a lot more. A very big and smooth mouthfeeling. Could easily be too mush - but it works very well !!

Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Jet black beer with some tan head. Coffee, chocolate notes, vanilla notes, hoppy bitterness, alcohol and syrupy sweetness in the aroma. The flavor has alcohol, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, hoppy bitterness and sweetness. Quite acidic and astringent in the mouth, silky and full. Long finish with coffee, vanilla and hops. It’s a bit on the sweet side, I like ’em drier, but it is a lovely beer anyway. It’s a pity it’s only an experiment. (070512)
