Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Session 4. Pours clearish black-brown with a creamy, beige head. The nose has burnt wood, cocoa, dark bread. Medium to big sweet flavour with dry burnt wood, strong roast, dried fruits, raisins. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with plenty of sticky dark sugars, burnt toffee, chocolate. Nice stuff, if fairly straightforward.

Tap at cbc14. Pours beautiful black, that fades over to the brown head. Really a gorgeous beer. Aroma is slightly disappointing, being pretty weak. Slightly alcoholic, some roast, chocolate and burned sugar. Taste brings much more to the table. A heavy, dark, liquid, buttery chocolate, that’s almost like chocolate liqour. Heavily roasted and a lot of alcohol. Very sweet.
