Sample at CBC 2013, Saturday. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of toffee, chocolate, vanilla, some notes of oak and dried fruit. About the same in the taste. Nice full body. Sweet but easy to enjoy. I am glad that I got the chance to try this one.

haukur (1314) - Reykjavik, ICELAND - MAY 6, 2013
Obvious Calvados in the aroma, compared to the original this one is quite over the top on the sweetness and the calvados, loads of calva notes that are simply overpowering the beer when it first hits the tongue but then is goes out in a long roasted but sweet finish. Dark and complex but I prefer the original

(Short review due to the massive amounts of beer I drank during the CBC13.) Not as good as the regular 06 but still an impressing beer. Very well done!

Tap at CBC 2013. Pours dark brown with almost no head. Aroma of calvados, molasses, dark fruit, caramel. Flavor is very heavy sweet as with the non-BA version, a bit too much. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

olio (6307) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 4, 2013
Sample @ CBC’13.
Pours deep dark red, almost black color with a small head. Aroma has less cocoa than the normal version, more vanilla in return, caramel malts and chocolate with wood on the finish. Flavor has lots of tar and soy, some sweet caramel malts and chocolate. Somewhat better compared to the normal version, but still a bit too sweet.

lusikka (6354) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 4, 2013
Draught @ CBC2013. Pours a dark brown colour with a white head. Aroma of roasted malts, green apples, wood and chocolate. Flavour of roasted malts, salty licorice, green apples and mudcake. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel and a roasty, smooth, salty finish. Not as good as the non-BA version.
