askofficerfriendly on the mad hookup! Black pour. Brown head. Loads of chocolate, molasses, booze, smoke, sherry...damn the flavor is even better. Chocolate heaven with some hints of sweet apples, raisins, molasses, light coffee and a hint of smoke. So good.

(375ml bottle best by 1/1/19 thanks to bu11zeye) jet black with excellent coating of the glass. Nose of big alcohol, sweet chocolate, fugde, smoke, vanilla. Taste of light alcohol, smoke, sweet chocolate, wood, vanilla, apple, complex and awesome. Very smooth medium body, vanilla, and sweet chocolate lasting very long on the finish.

Big thanks to bu11zeye for this one. Poured an oily black with a deep khaki head. Nose is wood, wine, roasted malts, vanilla, and a bit more. Great on the palate, flavor is apples, vanilla, wood, roasted malts, chocolate, wow, that’s good.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours an inky black color with a few brown bubbles but no real head. The aroma is alcohol, dark fruit and roasted malt. The flavor is a mix of vanilla, brown, sugar, oak, smoke, cherries, other fruit and tobacco. Low carbonation and thick mouthfeel. A ridiculously complex beer that is very well done.

Bottle with a best before of 1/1/2019 with a big thanks to bu11zeye. Pours like inky with a small tan head. Glass coating. Aroma of chocolate, brandy, fudge, rich, wood, berries-fruity, barrel, caramel, apple, pretty awesome. Intense and complex. Also a bit musty. Flavors of fruit, tobacco, cedar, berry, calvados, fudge, molasses, port. Super rich, minerals, sweet, desert-wine, earthy. Sweet, thick, fortified wine, absolutely coating. Amazing.

375 ml bottle; wow, thanks Colin and Becky trucking this across the pond for us; silky black with trace dense tan head but almost flat; intense aromas of peaty goodness with decedent chocolate, candy apples, coffee; super sweet and rich with thin, almost syrupy texture; no heat, harshness or astringency as this beast is all richness and over the top decadence; sticky chocolate, peaty bourbon, scotch, red wine or port flavors; a perfect desert beer with creamy roast and silky chocolate; right up there with the Kaggen in terms of decadence and an amazing beer drinking experience; incredible!!
