Clear dark black brown color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, spicy, wood, alcohol - cognac. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, mint - coconut, spicy, sharp. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20141229]

Aroma: Strong and complex but not tiring, roasty, a bit tart and sour, cognack, dark chocolate, cognac, oak, pinch of basament. Taste: Very intensive, dark chocolate, oak, medium to strong roastiness, light roasty and woody tartness, long chocolate finish. Great beer.

375ml bottle. Jet black colour with huge, thick, creamy, fully lasting, superbly lacing, brown head. Chocolately dark malty aroma, chocolate, vanilla, mokka-cream, Malaga-Eis, alcohol soaked raisins. Taste is roasty dark malty, minimally dry woody, cognac, minimally tart, tannic. Overall mild, harmonious, integrated, smooth.

The aroma is full of chocolate, coffee, dried fruits and banana. The color is pitch black. The taste is full of chocolate, coffee, dried fruits and nuts. The head is brown and rocky. It is bitter and heavy on the tongue with a long and bitter finish. A very nice beer!

Draught at Mikkeller bar Copenhagen. Black color, beige head. Bitter taste with citrus, coffee, hops, cognac, oak, nuts, roasted malts and a bit of vanilla. Bitter finish with citrus, coffee, oak and nuts. Excellent imperial porter.
