Dark, black beer with a three finger high brownbeige, fluffy head. A lot of lacing stays on the glass. Nose: Coffee, dark chocolate, dark bread, ash, smoke and dark fruit. Taste: Dark chocolate, coffee beens, spice and salt. Full body with little carbonation. A great porter with a rich, full taste!

Bottle, best before August 2018, so I think I’m good! Very dark brown pour, lively generous tan head. Bitter chocolate and burnt malt, scorched coffee beans, hints of aniseed, bitter finish.

Dobre piwo.

Black, hints of dark brown on the edges. Small beige to light brown head. Raisin, prune, dried fruit, some vanilla, some smoke, dark chocolate and espresso flavour. Sweet and bitter. Full body. Soft carbonation. Alcohol is present. Not bad, but not a favourite either.

Pour is a black with a tan head. Aroma is roast malt and some chicory char. Flavor is more of the dark roasted malt with a bit of wood smoke and bitter bakers chocolate. No sweet chocolate here, this is all about the roasted malt and strong charred aftertaste.

Draft to half snifter at Dutch’s a few weeks back from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have nice dark chocolate, mild roast, hint of coffee, medium plus body, creamy texture, mild spices, nice beer.

Svart med høyt tykt brunt skum. Kaffe, mørk sjokolade, rosiner, brøddeig og noe mørke frukter og såpe. Bitter smak, mørk sjokolade og kaffe. Lett sødme og noe salt smak mot salt lakris. Fyldig.

Bottle. Pitch black with moderately lasting, dark brown head which fades to a thin layer. Aroma is of chocolate, roasted malts, bitter coffee. No sign of the holiday spice in the aroma or the taste. Taste is more roasted malts, bitter coffee, some hoppy notes, dark chocolate. Long finish, medium carbonation, slightly viscous heavy body. Enjoyable but would like to see a more prominent presence of the holiday spice.

Jet black color, creamy brown head. Dark chocolate nose, espresso coffee, licorice, vanilla, ripe fruit, roasted malt. Coffee taste, roasted malt, licorice, well balanced, light bitter finish. Full body, soft carbonation, creamy texture.

Pours a black with an off white head as more porters do. The aroma is roasty with spices, the taste is similar but with a almost sour after taste, but its well balanced with a full slick mouthfeel, the carbonation is low. A really enjoyable beer.
