Draft @ beer temple. Aroma is roasty malt, liquorice, chocolate, light peppery note. Flavour is roasty liquorice, some lactose sugar notes, quite bitter and roasty malt lingering on and on.

On tap at the abbey. Pours black brown with a tiny head. Aroma is tangy and toasty. Flavor is tart, soy sauce with a sour roasted body, yum. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, spice, chocolate and coffee. Flavour is roasted malt, alcohol, spice, coffee, chocolate and liquorish.

Bottle (Fra Mikkeller & ___ Til ___). Black with a nice looking brown head leaving lacing. Aroma: roasted, creamy, spices, snus, berries, spruce. Taste: roasted, coffee, dark and red berries, snus, cocoa, light salmiak, some citrus hops, rubber, quite bitter. Above medium bodied. This is nice, but a year in the cellar to smooth off some of the edges would likely make it even better.

On tap at Beer Temple. Black colour, big light beige head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, light spice, kruidkoek, roasted malts. Flavour is medium sweet, roasted malts, chocolate, spice like cinnamon, mace, nicely blended in chocolate, light bitter roasted finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Draft at Beer Temple. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of strong coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malts. Flavour is moderate sweet and heavy bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Pours an opaque black with a brown hat that leaves sticky lace. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, molasses and roasted malts. Taste of roasted malts, molasses and a nice bitterness throughout. Excellent porter.

Bottle @ home. Pours black with a huge creamy light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, light licorice, light dark fruits, spice. Flavor is malts, hints of coffee and chocolate, little sweet dark fruits, light tart and acidic, pineneddles. Medium body, soft carbonation, lightly acidic and rather dry finish. 120113

Guineas like head (=soft fine and enormous). Same Colour! Fruity nose with Lots of chocolate, coffee, raisins and maubere Some licorice, medium body and quilte long. Taste is chockolate, bitter, coffee. A bit simple but powerfull.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. black beer that pours with a large foamy tan head. It has rich spice, liquorice and chocolate flavours with roasted coffee and slight sour red fruit on the finish. SUPERB!
