thick brown head. Pitch black. Fantastic looking. Trademark imperial porter. Nothing out of the ordinary but extremely solid. Some dried fruits, malts. A bit sugary with marcipan tones. Good and solid

Aroma is yeast, dark malts, berries and a small hint of astringency. The flavor is dark/earthy malts, mild heat, fruit and a mix of mild hoppiness and acidity in the finish.

On tap at Little Delirium, Brussels. Black with a thick white top. Complex aroma of sweet fruitcake, grassy malt, coffee and liquorice. Taste initially malty, giving way to bittersweet intense coffee. Very long bitter finish - perhaps too much so for my tastes but I still really like this, despite it being so hard to drink.

Cunningham (2972) - Halden, NORWAY - MAY 1, 2013

Appearance: Black color with a big creamy beige head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Dark malt, chocolate, fruity and some spices.
Palate: Thick oily body. Slightly sweet, and a rich bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Really complex flavor. Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, fruity and spicy.
Overall impression: Powerful beer. But I prefer the older versions of this beer.
Personal stats: Bottle from net order at Systembolaget, Sweden.

Smak och doft av humle, malt, choklad, bränt socker, torkad frukt, kaffe. Med en trevlig bitterchoklad beska.

On Tap, Brew Dog, Newcastle. Dark brooding looks with a reserved tan crown. Enticing nose of dark choc and dark fruits, alongside some coffee and xmas-cake notes. Similar themes unfolded flavour wise,...rich and luxuriant, with roast and hop bitterness merging to great effect. Gently warming booze hit. Great stuff, a top class christmas beer..

Thanks jbruner. Very dark black pour dark tan head. Boozy roast coconut and wood. Taste a bit astringent and effervescent. Finishes a bit sour like a porter.

Pours an opaque brownish-black from the bottle with thin tan cap of of lacy head, moderate lacing. Aroma of vanilla, coffee, a bit of booze and chocolate. Taste is all of that with a hint of astringency and spice. Solid bitter finish and bubbly on the tongue, good stuff, but a bit weird.

Tap at BD. Black with tan head. Ashy roasty aroma with licorice and chocolate. Similar taste with some soapy hops. A little foamy and thin. Decent
