Kaatuu lasiin öljynmustana ja suklaajäätelön värisellä runsaalla vaahdolla. Haju on yrttisen mausteinen, paahteinen, suolaisen salmiakkinen ja kahvinen. Maku on paahteinen, alkoholin polttama, suklainen, lakritsinen ja yrttinen. Suutuntuma on melko täyteläinen ja hieman hyökkäävä. Kokonaisuutena oikein maistuva ja talvinen porter, jossa yrttisyys hieman yllätti.

Batch 201120 - Pours pitch black with a small foamy brown head. Aroma of sweet sugary roasty malts, hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste is roasty and sweet with some sugary coffee notes and dark chocolate. Finish is smooth and sweetish with notes of roastiness and chocolate. Okay, quite sweet porter.

750ml bottle on sale for $10.50 dark black color with an impressive head. Smells odd, dough-like yeast. Taste us a rich porter but something else is creeping in, almost spicy. I wonder what ingredients were used. This is much better than the chipotle porter. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-17-2011 04:14:13

Bottle:Dark Brown to Black colour, creamy brown head. Aroma is dominated of sirup, fruits, dust, flowers, dark chocolate and peppery/coffee. Flavor is mouth a like here and that is Goood!!, Coffee, fruity bomb! and a nice coffee/caramellynes and choclate mouth feeling. Medium body, medium fruity finish. Well done!!

750ml bottle, shared. Pours oily black with a lot of thick, dark mocha foam. Aroma is loaded with roasted malts, ash, liquorice, some coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is roasted and ashy, even burnt. Some liquorice, a bit of bitter chocolate. A slight hint of vegetable in the background. Or maybe that’s the hops? Palate is full, slick, oily, some carbonation.

A colabrown beer with a beautiful, big, dense and brown head. Aroma is roasted, coffee, slight milky sourness, sweet chocolate and sour grapefruits. Taste is even more roasted than aroma, burned coffee, lot of herbal and citrusfruity hoppyness. Full- bodied, smooth carbonation, easy to drink. Quite nice beer if you don’t afraid of strong roastiness. Behind of strong roastiness there can be found a quite nuanced beer with nice citrusfruity flavours.
