We had the Mikkeller yeast 2.0 Lager, Lambicus and Bruxellensis for comparison. Aroma is a promise of something good if you love lambic and geuze A hint of vinegar even. Fresh, much better than in yeast Bretanomyces Lambicus. The Lager yeast is not compatable for aroma as it is so different as it should be. Very nice taste and palate, but not quite on the same level with traditional ones from Pajottenland, Belgium.

Overall a really unique beer. Pours a lovely orange marmalade color. Aromas are wild. Funk, horse blanket, citrus, tropical fruit. Awesome. Flavors are full of Brett and funk with a touch of sour. Overall a really neat beer.

Bottle to snifter. Looks solid; a transparent copper with foamy off-white head and lively carbonation. Smells of pale malt and old hops with a notable brett presence that would probably be better in their sum fresh. Tastes like it smells, but more robust, with a medium-bodied semi-dry mouthfeel. Tastes more complex than it smells at this point.

"Murky pale amber. Easily the best smelling of the bunch - funky as all get out. At first, I liked the flavor of the weaker aroma lambicus better, but in the end, this was the clear winner."

Astringent, cuiré, acidulé, kiwi, pamplemousse, olive. Bête étrange passé son apogée.

Bottle. Hazy orange with an off-white head. The aroma is malty and fruity, with grapefruit, mango, orange, as well as brett. The flavour is sweet malt, orange, funky, pineapple. Good bitterness and it’s very dry, accentuated by the brett. I really like the hoppy brett style of beer, so refreshing. Nice one.

On tap @ Elfo’s Pub, Perugia, Italy. Pours with a bright clear orange colour, medium lasting white frothy head. Aroma is medium malty, medium hoppy, medium yeasty with notes of basement aromas. Taste is softly sweet, medium bitter, softly sour. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation.

Bottle at home. Pours golden, quite interesting, sweet toffee, fruity, light sourness from the yeast, refreshing.

Tried side by side with the Lambicus. Pours hazy golden orange color with off white head. Aromas of brett and dough with some funkiness. Sour flavor with some doughy yeast. Medium body with average carbonation. I liked this better than the Lambicus.

On tap at Tomahawk Bar 280614. A little funky this one with a musty musky flavour. Not sour but certainly different.
