The nose is hay, tangy citrus, sherbert, waxy orange and grapefruit. The taste is earth, light tartness, pepper, minerals, waxy lemon, grapefruit, spice, with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty.

Bottle. Clearish golden hued pour with slightly worse clarity than the Brux. Big and fluffy, just off-white head with good lace. Aromas are of plum and funk, some pie cherry, damp leaves and lots of esters. Flavors are fruitier and much cleaner (phenolic wise) than the Brux version. Lots of plum notes. Lively carbonation, off-dry.

Bortle at Mikkeller. Hazy yellow. Aroma medium malty ( caramel) and hoppy, light sour. Flavor light to medium sweet, medium sour. Medium body.

On tap @ Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Pours clear dark golden, with a massive head. Aroma is fruity lemony sourness and yeast with hay, straw and grass as well as a whiff of sweet apricot. Full creamy body with soft to no carbonation. Flavour is quite sweet yeasty at first, before the funky brett sets in with sour citrus. Finishes of with a sweet fruity peach.

On tap at Black Bottle Brewery. Orange and hazy appearance with an off-white, light tan head. The aroma and flavor is floral, wild yeast, barnyard funk, earthy, spices and light tart fruit. Medium body with a soft smooth feel. Pretty tasty wild ale.

For this style this beer just didn’t deliver that punch. Admittedly I haven’t experienced many Wild/Sours but those I have made this look poor. Nothing about it is noteworthy, hence my lack of taste notes.

Bottle. Pours bright golden treacle with the thinnest of heads. No layering. Tangy and soapy in the nose, in the mouth moderate carbonation and balanced, fruity and yes a little soapy with good bitterness.

On draft at Pizzeria Paradiso Washington DC. Pours a clear amber with a feint white head. Tart apple nose. Flavors of caramel and brett yeast with a hint of catmint.

(draught) pours a murky amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of strawberries, herbal hops and muesli, with a hint of banana and white grapes. flavour is more grainy muesli, with notes of passion fruit, mango, gooseberries and a slightly tart light-bitter finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

[5/5/13] Draught at Mikkeller Bar in Copenhagen. Hazy deep golden-ciooer. Yeasty aroma, earthy, spicy, a bit funky, a bit soapy, with some fruitiness,. Flavor is slightly sourish, yeasty, earthy and fruity. Finishes bitterish, spicy and soapy. Medium-bodied.
