Good IPA. hoppy. Good beer but the project fails.
I do not understand it to be such a hoppy beer, when the idea is that you should be able to taste the difference in yeast.

12 oz bottle-trade with jtclockwork-pours a foamy light tan head with lacing and hazy amber color. Aroma is resin, secondary medium malt-caramel, slight yeast. Taste is resin/spice, secondary medium malt-caramel/bready. Slightly drying finish, but no banana, clove.

Practically opaque copper pour with a lot of large floating yeast. Flavor reflects that yeast significantly. The Mikkeller Yeast Series is aptly named.

330ml bottle. Looks great and smells just as great. Big bold butterscotch caramel colour with an even layer of sand coloured foam. Sweet caramel aroma that gets right up the nose. Flavour is strong and sits in the mouth and lingers for a long time. Long finish that hangs around. Awesome beer.

12oz bottle poured into my Founders snifter glass. Slightly fruity aroma with yeast notes here and there. Flavor is a little bitter and fruity. Nothing too spectacular but glad I had the chance to try it.

bottle, lighter amber pour. fruity yeastiness, light bready character, hoppier (grapefruity, citrusy hops) than expected but again it is made by Mikkeller

Bottle.Pours amber with a big off-white head. Aroma cheesy, peachy hops and fruitiness.Flavor is sweet with some bitterness an pine.Medium body, average carbonation.Nice ipa , not a Belgian.

(Bottle 25/3-2011) Yeast sediment in bottle. Yeast taste is almost overshadowed by hops and ABV.

The third of three yeast series bottles. Poured clear amber/gold with a bit of off white head. Aroma was pretty similar to the American Ale but had a much more noticeable fruit profile, with a distinct cherry note. Dry with a light bitterness. A bit more enjoyable than the other two.
