Bottle 33 cl from erzbierschof.ch. Muddy orangy amber with abundant, sticking and pale ochre foam, serene crackling. Aromas of sweet malt, hops citrus and pine, lemon confit, note of alcohol. The taste is soft and mellow, very malted, apricot jam, hops with nosegay of citrus and pine. Yeast hidden by hops and indefinable to the blind. Lager India US.

(Smagt sammen med de fem andre øl i denne yeats serie.) Den svageste af de tre (lager, American ale og english ale), men overall en rigtig fin lager. God som reference i smagningen af disse tre øl.

Appearance: brown, hazy, thick beige head Aroma: lemon, bubblegum, molasses, sweet Taste: thick feel on the tongue, molasses, hop bitterness at the end, grassy Palate: heavy beer, light lingering hop aftertaste Overall: molasses is predominately what I taste in this beer, hides the 8.0%abv very well, not your typical lager for sure ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a cloudy rusty orange brown with a large lasting creamy beige head with very good head retention and lacing throughout. Aroma of malt, Belgium yeast, sweet fruity and alcohol esters fill the nose. Taste is sweet malt, Belgium yeast and fruity notes, brown candied sugar with some bitter notes. Palate is a medium to full body, sweet slightly creamy and sticky mouth feel with mild carbonation. The Finish is sweet malt, Belgium yeasty, fruity, ending with some sweet brown sugar and alcohol flavor. Overall a very good, flavorful, tasty and balanced brew. Well done.

Bottle from state line liquor. Pours brown with an inch of white head that leaves some lacing. Nice malt and grass notes on the nose. Rich mouthfeel. Hopper than expected. Bigger as well. Finishes clean. Very nice.

12oz bottle poured into snifter. Opened next to the Yeast American Style. Comparing them both side by side I’d have to say that I enjoyed this one a little more. Seemed to have a better balance and drinkability.

The aroma is yeasty and hoppy with pine, citrus, and herbs along with yeasty bread and caramel. The appearance is hazy amber with a foamy head. The taste is bitter and unimpressive but like the aroma. The palate is smooth for the style. Overall pretty much on par for this brewer but so-so.

11.2oz bottle from Gomer’s Lees Summit, MO. Totally forgot I had all these. Pours a cloudy, orange-amber-gold colored body with a finger-width, creamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma has some nice orange hops with a medium sweet, bready malt backing that has some caramel to it. A bit of a grassy spice and fruity apricots as well. Flavor is bready caramel, orange hops with some grassy spices, and somewhat piney towards the end. Finishes clean and dry with a medium-high bitterness before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Smooth, medium body and a creamier, moderate carbonation. Overall, clean and smooth with some nice fruit notes, but a bit too bitter. My favorite of the series so far, but haven’t had the Brett yeast yet.
