330mL bottle. $6.00 for a single. Pours copper color, thick creamy light tan head. Aroma of a well hopped Amber Ale, spicy hops and dry malt. Just from the smell and looks of the pour... I like this beer already. Flavor is simple. Dry malt, spicy character, doughy basement finish. Lingering bitterness, malt is very dry. Finishes with a leathery earthy character. Medium to heavy carbonation.

Pour deep hazy amber, with a large frothy beige head. Aroma is of caramel malts, and fruity hops. Citrus, a little peach, a little grassy. Yeast is comming through towards the end. Taste is sweet, with a bitter/sweet finish. Medium body, with a average carb.

Bottle shared by Tmoney99 in Oct. 2011. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized beige head. Some floaties were noticed throughout. The aroma is definitely more fruity than the others tasted. Sweet caramel malt and juicy fruits. The flavor opens with juicy fruits and some caramel malts. Then it becomes more pithy, finishing with mild to moderate bitterness.

Slightly clear, somewhat hazy amber coloured body with a copper glow and a thicker (than the Hef Yeast) tan head. Aroma of hay, grass, herbal hops and a bit of a medicinal scent - just like the Hef series, but not as strong. Medium-bodied; Assertive hop note of grass and flowers with some lighter yeast and malt notes, a touch of dry oak and finishes with a nice siasony type vibe. Overall, an okay beer, but not amazing - a nice hoppy vibe with a slightly saisony and barnyardie finish. A touch more dry and hoppy with less medicinal flavours as the Hef Yeast Series, but nothing extraordinary. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from State Line Liquors in Elkton, Maryland on 10-August-2011 for US$5.99 sampled at home in Washington on 10-October-2011.

Bottle. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate complex spruce and earthy aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a solid bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a solid complex beer.

Bottle looks very simple but still good. Beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Starts strong, quite yeasty, more and more dry and woody. Finish spicy-dry, notes of cinnamon. Modest sourish aftertaste. Interesting.
