Roasty, malty, thick, black, chocolate... ticks all the porter boxes. Not much in the way of orange zest though. Still. Really good beer. Quite bitter and hoppy on the finish.

Bottle 330ml (Firmabier)
Dark brown color, good brownish head, some lace. Aroma is quite interesting combination of chocolate, smoke, rubber and light fruityness. Medium to full-bodied. Well-roasted, chocolaty porter with cocoa and long bitter aftertaste. Actually less "zesty" than expected but hoppy. Very robust for this ABV.

Bottle at home. It pours jet black with a tan head. The aroma is zesty and citrusy mixed with hard roasted malts. Some tar and coffee. Quite zesty flavor. Some grapefruit. Good roasted. Bitter roasted finish. Very interesting!

Not getting much citrus, mostly ash and black stuff you find in an old truck engine .. One dimensional and not happy, but I could smash this easy .. . . Teebee

330ml bottle from Saveur-Biere.fr. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is zesty alongside some thick roasted malts. Taste is disappointingly lacking in zestiness. On a basic level it’s a great meaty porter, but for what it’s intended to be it’s a bit disappointing. Rated according to how it actually tastes.

330 ml bottle. Pours a pitch black colour with a beige head. Aroma of rich juicy citrusy fruitiness, roastiness and leather. Flavour of strong roasted malts, big juicy citrusy bitterness, orange pith, mild caramel sweetness, grass and some herbal notes. Medium bodied. Rather soft carbonation. Heavy stuff. I would’ve guessed this is a black IPA.

33 cl bottle. BBE 15.04.2017.
Pours jet black color with a nice big beige head. Very roasty aroma, lots of dark malts, licorice, mild hops and some chocolate too, the orange zest is there too. Orange on the flavor, dry roasted malts, maybe some licorice on the background, some bitter coffee notes too. Quite nice balance with the hoppy fruitiness and roasted malt. Rich, heavy and tasty.

Opened this in the right sun expecting an ipa... And got this. Regardless this is a great brew. Even in the sun the orange really lifts this beer to a different level. Quite complex and a bit sticky, very full for the abv. Only the ending is a bit too brown sugar like. Delicious! (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)
