Bottle from Brewtique, Macclesfield. Poured dark brown with a thick dark brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, orangey hops. Flavour is coffee, chocolate, lots more orange. Different, interesting, refreshing and orangey. Good beer, really liked this one.

SlackerMads (1891) - DENMARK - MAY 6, 2014
Bottle. Black with a large brown head, good retention and lace. The orange zest is very evident in the nose along with some chocolate notes. Flavour is more dominated by malty notes; roasted, chocolate, cocoa with the orange kicking in after a short while. The texture is very nice, soft and creamy. Has some roasted bitterness in the finish.

330 ml bottle poured into a nonic pint glass. Best by 03/04/15. Black with almost 3 fingers of tan head. Decent lacing as the head recedes. Aromas of coffee, bitter roast, dark chocolate, subtle orange peel. Tasting notes of dark chocolate, coffee, roast, toasty and nutty notes, light soy sauce, maybe some very light orange peel. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. Not getting a whole lot of orange zest but maybe it’s in the bitterness.

Pours deep black with a creamy brown head, very long lasting. Excellent lacing. Aroma of cofee, orange. Traces of cocoa. Nice oily mouthfeel, medium body, roast finish. Low carbonatio. Taste is orange, coffee, bitter, roasty, deep and well balanced.

Bottle, Brewtique, Macclesfield. Cracking Happy Mondays influenced bottle art. Black pour with a reserved tan head. Top notch beak of chocolate, orange and roast. Similar traits comprised the flavour with some bitterness emerging towards the finish. Smooth and massively drinkable, I loved this, just so very tasty. Chocolate orange in a glass.... Win.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a large pillowy brown head that dissipates slowly with good lacing. Aroma is very roasty, anise, cocoa powder, some burned notes, coffee, ashes. Flavor is light sweet and medium bitter, very roasty, cocoa, ashes, and a bit of anise. Not getting a lot of orange here; perhaps the faintest hint, but there is a strong bitterness with a zesty component to it. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Lingering bitter finish...

Bottle at Well and Bucket. Glorious rich pour with luxury coffeeish crema head. Big funky veg on the nose, creamy malt. Taste is spicey cola coffee dark roasty with a deep oily orange hint but not much. Not bothered really!
