It’s pitch black with a brown, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, licorice and a little chocolate. The mouth feel is semi oily and nice. The flavor has a medium sweetness and notes of roasted malt, licorice, hints of chocolate, the oranges zest arrives fairly late as a very subtle note in the finish, possibly only because I look for it.

M_Sack (352) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JAN 6, 2014
Bottle. Deep black, cappuccino coloured frothy head with heavy lacing. Aromas of gentle coffee, roast malt and an obvious citrus element. No alcohol present on the nose. Flavours of toasty coffee, subdued spicy hops, citrus back notes and a long bitter finish. A touch of alcohol is detectable towards the end however it does not detract and integrates itself with the beer. Incredibly balanced with a thick, smooth, yet spicy mouthfeel. Unusual but great beer.

Bottle. Best before 03/04/15. Pours a dark brown/black with a coffee colour head. Looks good. Some soy in the aroma, coffee too. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Soy, teriyaki, coffee, chocolate, a hint of citrus. Well balanced, nice level of sweet/bitter. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
