Bottle. Pours opaque black with a large pillowy brown head that dissipates slowly with good lacing. Aroma is very roasty, anise, cocoa powder, some burned notes, coffee, ashes. Flavor is light sweet and medium bitter, very roasty, cocoa, ashes, and a bit of anise. Not getting a lot of orange here; perhaps the faintest hint, but there is a strong bitterness with a zesty component to it. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Lingering bitter finish...

Bottle at Well and Bucket. Glorious rich pour with luxury coffeeish crema head. Big funky veg on the nose, creamy malt. Taste is spicey cola coffee dark roasty with a deep oily orange hint but not much. Not bothered really!

Feines Porter mit einem Mix aus Frucht und Kaffee. Ordentlich im Hopfen mit einer wunderbaren Frische. Danach etwas dicker, schwerer, bitterer. Nicht schlecht.

Bottle from trade with Meilby - thank you a lot for it, Kenni! The Porter pours out in a deep black colour with medium to smooth body and steady low head. Nice aroma of citrus fruits and chocolate. Taste of milk chocolate, coffee, torf, woods, citrus and herbs. Hints of nuts. Easy and nice to drink - a very solid and nice Porter.indeed,

Bottle. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is dense roasted malt and chocolate. Robust. A nice roasty porter with a thick texture and a little extra from the orange zest. Oily. Really delicious.

Bottle. Best by 3/4/15. Black pour, with a deep amber hue and thick light brown head. Aromas primarily of dark chocolate, with obvious orange citrus oil highlights. Flavors bounce between creamy, dark chocolate, bitter bakers chocolate, coffee and BIG bitter, orange citrus peel. Big, lingering finish of the above mentioned flavors. Medium-medium-plus bodied, with an initial slightly prickly, bitter mouthfeel... which quickly transitions to a rich, big, roasted, flavorful finish. Overall, big, enjoyable flavors of chocolate and orange peel (as advertised) with a notable dry bitterness. Mouthfeel/carbonation could be improved, though is not bad. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Opaque dark brown, good tan head. Palate is light and slightly airy and dry. Very light airy dark malt with a nice touch of dark chocolate. Turns to floral sweetness and milk chocolate. Seamlessly blended is a nice fresh orange zesty zip. Finishes smooth and airy. Really nice milk chocolate, floralness and orange. Very drinkable.

It’s pitch black with a brown, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, licorice and a little chocolate. The mouth feel is semi oily and nice. The flavor has a medium sweetness and notes of roasted malt, licorice, hints of chocolate, the oranges zest arrives fairly late as a very subtle note in the finish, possibly only because I look for it.
