3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Deep black, cappuccino coloured frothy head with heavy lacing. Aromas of gentle coffee, roast malt and an obvious citrus element. No alcohol present on the nose. Flavours of toasty coffee, subdued spicy hops, citrus back notes and a long bitter finish. A touch of alcohol is detectable towards the end however it does not detract and integrates itself with the beer. Incredibly balanced with a thick, smooth, yet spicy mouthfeel. Unusual but great beer.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Looking lovely in the glass, with a dense, two-finger light tan head over a more or less black body. Roasted, coffee-ish aroma with some orange peel and licorice. It’s supersmooth on the palate, full-bodied and semi-sweet. Roasted malts, coffee, orange peel and a little bitterness in the flavor. Some charcoal too. Lots more orange in the finish. It sort of lacks balance this one, yet it doesn’t, but I like it quite much anyway. 131123

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ Scooper Tasting in Ulfborg. Pours cloudy very dark brown with small tan head. Clear aroma of coffee, malt, and dark chocolate. Sweetish, malty onset, quickly giving way to bitter flavour of coffee, with notes of orange peel and hops. Decent but rather fruity for a Porter.
