Bottle. Nice opaque black pour with rich borwn foam, tonas of chunks in the bottom of the glass though, not quite as appetizing. Aroma is nice and roasty, tons of burnt grain, light coffee, dark chocolate, orange, orange chocolates. Taste is mildly sweet, nice bitter roasty flavor, chewy, light caramel, chocolate, mild juicy flavor. Palate is med bodied, nice and chewy, low-med carbonation. Tasty stuff.

Bottle (330 ml) at home. Dark brown with a frothy brown head leaving intense lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, orange zest, chocolate, mild piney presence and mild ashy notes. Taste is of roasted malts, dark chocolate, orange zest, ashes, mild acidic presence, hints of anise and mild bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Mouthfeel is starting creamy but is quickly cut by acidity. Thereís a bit of green peppers in the finish. Not the easiest Porter to drink because of the combination of ingredients (and especially the mild anise presence in taste), but itís hard to argue that it isnít tasty.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Very dark brown-black in colour pouring with a large dark brown rocky head of foam. It has a roasted coffee, liquorice and orange flavour with chocolate and spicy fruit, oak and vanilla on the finish. Superb!

Shared bottle. Pours is dark with thick brownish head. Aroma of chocolate, candzed orange, licquorice, hazelnuts. Coffee like bitter, lot of hazelnuts, heavy malty based. Heavy body, dry, oily texture, coffee bitter finish.

Bottle from Hallís. Pours a really deep red/almost black with lotís of floaties (Yeast, Iím guessing) and a medium tan head. The aromas are orange zest meets salmon. Very odd. The mouthfeel is slightly watery and has a good bitterness with a medium body and medium carbonation. Not sure I liked the flavor profile of this one. Too weird for me. Cheers!

Another winner. Aroma of roasted malt and citrus. Beautiful dark chocolate color with a big tan head. Good lacing. Weighty palate with a sharp hop bite. Roasted and chocolate flavors with the bitterness of orange peel.

Bottle. Black body with a large tan head. Good lacing. Aroma of ash, grape, tar and parma violets. Flavour of chocolate, orange, wood and floral hops. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. I found this to be more floral than zesty.
