Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Very dark brown-black in colour pouring with a large dark brown rocky head of foam. It has a roasted coffee, liquorice and orange flavour with chocolate and spicy fruit, oak and vanilla on the finish. Superb!

Shared bottle. Pours is dark with thick brownish head. Aroma of chocolate, candzed orange, licquorice, hazelnuts. Coffee like bitter, lot of hazelnuts, heavy malty based. Heavy body, dry, oily texture, coffee bitter finish.

Bottle from Hall’s. Pours a really deep red/almost black with lot’s of floaties (Yeast, I’m guessing) and a medium tan head. The aromas are orange zest meets salmon. Very odd. The mouthfeel is slightly watery and has a good bitterness with a medium body and medium carbonation. Not sure I liked the flavor profile of this one. Too weird for me. Cheers!

Another winner. Aroma of roasted malt and citrus. Beautiful dark chocolate color with a big tan head. Good lacing. Weighty palate with a sharp hop bite. Roasted and chocolate flavors with the bitterness of orange peel.

Bottle. Black body with a large tan head. Good lacing. Aroma of ash, grape, tar and parma violets. Flavour of chocolate, orange, wood and floral hops. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. I found this to be more floral than zesty.

7%ABV. Porter Poured out the bottle black as sinous sin! 40ºSRM. The nose is sweet, floral with a citrus hint, close your eyes and picture yourself in the middle of an orange grove of Valencias in late summer and you get the picture. Just sublime. The mouthfeel is syrupy and aggressively carbonated. Well-balanced but a little less subtle than the nose. It is thickly malty with dark roasty flavors, chocolate, coffee, burnt sugar dominate the palate. The finish is where the magic comes in again. The entire experience is closest to enjoying a Grand Marnier infused dark chocolate truffle. You just have to smile. It’s just comfortingly good. One musn’t forget the hoppy finish that the fiends a Mikkeller want you to notice, herbaceous, resinous and piney all the way to the bitter end. You bastards!!! Goes on Favorites List!

Negro opaco y espuma beis compacta. Aromas de chocolate, quemados y frutos negros. Cuerpo medio inicio dulce, melaza y chocolate con final de amargor quemado algo astringente.
