Pyobon (170), Sydney, Australia Feb 16, 2008 Bottle. Poured straw yellow with a big white head. A tantalising aroma with lychees and floral notes including hops and maybe jasmine. Medium body and quite fizzy. Flavour is similar to aroma dominated by floral and lychee notes, however the finsh is fairly crisp with some hops. It’s a light floral lager, but an extremely good example. Stew41 (883), Caulfield, Australia Mar 12, 2006 Light amber, fairly standard, but holds an ok head. Nose surprises on the upside..sweet, not particularly malty. Has a nice sliver of spice. Palate is reasonable with mild flavours but nice subtle spicy hops, not quite hefe-esque but respectable. I would drink this over any CUB ’premium’ any day of the week. highlandlad (1200), Sydney, Australia Jun 6, 2006 Moderate Aussie lager. It’s the usual pale gold, with a 1cm head. The aroma was very clean and refined but lacked punch. Still, there seem to be some quality malts in there, plus lemon-sherbet hops. On the tongue, it’s quite tart and very lemony. The mouthfeel is too hard, verging on soda-like. There’s a soft backbone of pale malts and a sprinkle of allspice in the swallow. Feels like it could be quite good with a little tinkering. (330ml bottle; Dan Murphys, Strathfield; bb 21/7/06) omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 7, 2006 Bottled. Clear golden. Neutral aroma. Dryish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. There’s some soapy, grassy hops and light crystal malt character. Low bitterness. Not bad. voota (754), Melbourne, Australia May 28, 2005 Updated: May 30, 2005Just another crisp lager, nice clear appearance, white head. Flavour is crisp with a slightly nutty taste. Really nothing too special, but one of the better in the class.
