A soft and mellow beer with subtle wheat and honey flavours. This very pale beer is brewed entirely from pale Australian-grown malted barley and malted wheat. Although the hopping rate is modest, there is sufficient bitterness to help balance the fairly high residual sweetness. Unlike most other honey beers currently in the marketplace, ours is bottom-fermented at cool temperature to help capture the delicate flavour of the local orange-blossom honey that is added to the kettle during the wort boiling stage. Alongside the overtones of honey on the nose and palate, the wheat component contributes a light aromatic structure to the beer and a late hop addition of the German variety, Perle, lends a gentle spiciness. Although the sweetest of the beers in the Mildura Brewery range, Honey Wheat still exhibits a refreshingly crisp character that makes it both easy drinking and more-ish.

Bottle - pours light gold witha short lived head. Aroma is more cereal malt than honey, bit of hay. Taste is more macro lager than micro honey. Taste is cereal, bit bland. Moderate mouthfeel, some fizz. Bit meh.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear medium gold, with a smallish white head, which fades quickly and doesnít leave much lacing. Fruity, sweet notes, honey and sweetcorn make up an odd aroma. It is surprisingly hoppy up front, with citrus notes predominant. The mid-palate is all dry, fermented honey, with no noticeable wheat feel. The finish is quite abrupt. A fairly lacklustre beer, not very appealing at all.

On tap. Clear light Golden, small White head. Not much aroma, taste compares to a standard pilsner. No wheat, no honey. Disappointing.

Poured a clear pale golden yellow with a one- to two-finger white foamy that retained for a while and left a few sudsy rings of lace. Aroma dominated by grainy malt. Taste also dominated by grainy malt. Light body. Light with a grain malt finish.

Nice honey aroma and subtle honey taste. Light head and lively light gas, clear light colour. Clean palate. Honey beers not my choice but this is quite drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a 330ml bottle on 20/7/2013. Pours a clear light yellow with a quite big, fluffy, bright white head. Has a light aroma dominated by honey and a touch of grass. Honey dominates the taste also, but the sweetness is kept in check by a mild bitterness in the background. Has a light body and spritzy carbonation. Feels like itís not too far away from being a good beer, but is a little too subdued to really grab your attention. Still, itís easy to drink and a quite pleasant quaffer.

Average carbonation, dull aromas and taste, thin body. Drinkable at best I suppose.
