Bottle conditioned 500ml: just out of date when opened on 3rd Nov 2012. I poured this slowly into an Abbot Ale glass tankard and it showed its self to be a good golden blonde colour, but with very little in the way of a head: white thin collar but no covering. Not overly impressed with what I got from this beer or the other two in the gift pack from my father. I hate being negative about small breweries but the beers have been poor quality and this beer is lucky to get the scores Ive given it. Bland in taste and aroma: some slight malt and hop notes in the nose but not much. The flavours were biscuity malts with a mild fruity hop base that turned slightly bitter towards the end of each sip. For a Christmas beer it just lacked power and depth.

Bottle. Golden and quite lively upon pouring. Sulphuric and sharp it tastes nothing like what a decent bottled beer should. lotsof sediment and all round poorly bottled. Why do they bother?

Bottle. Light gold with some yeast floaties and decent carbonation. Aromas are sweet hay and lemon meringue with yeast and some sharper citrus notes. Flavours are sweet mellow citrus with apricot and slightly gritty grain. Peppery and dry hops follow with some toast notes on the finish. Quite bitter on the aftertaste. Happy Xmas.
