Live@The Baron. Ruby with a loose white foam. Slight dung, roasted nit and red berry nose. Attractive berry and roasted flavour with soapy orange hop and burnt hazelnut notes. Unusually clean and decent for Milestone.

Cask. Stewed plums, malt biscuit. Pours chestnut brown with ruby tints and tan cream top with strong lacing. Taste of roasted hops, biscuity and with hints of cough drops. Medium bodied. The bitter languor on the palate is not a plus for me but it’s an interesting mixture. Tastes like a way station to a better different beer.

Cask@The Pembury Tavern, London. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, some candy notes, mild buttery and malty notes. Flavour is caramel malts, some fruity, nectary and wooden notes. Mild spices as well. But the sad thing is the dominating buttery notes.
