3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 weaselkenievil (1089) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2012
Cask at the NWAF, Manchester. Clear gold with a thin to medium white head. Nice citrus and hop aroma. Flavour has hops but not as much Amarillo as I like, still a tasty enough brew though. Some vanilla type sweetness. Slightly grainy on the palate.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 rosenbergh (3145) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 18, 2011
Cask at the Manchester & County (JDW), Manchester, England.
Clear amber colour with tiny off-white head.
Fruity woody malty aroma with mild English hops.
Fruity English style hops, some caramel sweetness and woody maltiness in flavour. Bitter aftertaste. Good fruity Ale.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 RichardW (861) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - JUN 26, 2011
Cask, JDW, Carlisle. Another beer that i expected more from. Oddly-perfumed, with a bittersweet taste, edging towards dryness. Mid brown in colour, the taste does settle down, but it is quite a standard flavoured beer. The hop note is there, but it’s a bit harsh on the back of the tongue. Hint ogf apples, which I’m never a huge fan of in beer.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with white head. Biscuity malt with an earthy, woody background flavour then just a hint of lemony, citrus hops, could do with more, if you advertise Amarillo, let us have it.

Cask at The Lord Moon of the Mall on Whitehall. Pours amber with a creamy white head. Aroma is fruit. Flavor is fruit and earth. Citrus fruit - tho not zest. Mildly bitter. Goes a bit toward leather/wood with time. And always fruity.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (3595) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2011
Cask at the Crosse Keys. Pours a clear, dark gold with a filmy white head. Ripe citrus and toast in the aroma. Light to medium sweet flavor, oddly roasty and smokey, some leafy bitters, some ash and wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Scorched earth, slight grass, citrus rind in the finish. Overall quite decent.

Cask handpull, The Felix, Nuneaton. Brassy gold with a white top. Hay and mellow lemony orange peel aroma. Gentle biscuit character; good soft condition, orange tang, digestives. Not much Amarillo happening. Wet dough afters. Disappointing.
