COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - Summer.
Colour: Dark gold. Summertime blonde beer which uses lager, malt and organic Perle Hallertau hops. On the nose there's an emphatic citrussy and lemon character with grainy malt lingering in the background. On the palette there's a whisper of grainy malt followed by more citrus (lemon and lime) before the dry finish with developing bitterness and an undertone of citrus fruit. An exceedingly well-balanced blend of malty and hoppy flavours to which you will want to keep returning.

Cask, half pint at JDW Flying Horse. Nice golden-brown body, close to clear Diminishing white head, dotted spots to the glass. Modest malt-fruity aromas. Caramel, honey and dusty hops to the taste buds. Bittersweet tail. Medium to thin bodied. Satisfying Brit bitter on an average level, more or less (Gatwick, airside 03.07.2013).

My Bottom Line:
Leafy, earthy hop bitterness defines this Bitter, lasting long after the comfortable roundness of lightly honeyed malts is forgotten.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the clear amber.
-The nose is rather unassuming.
-Orange-scented tea leaves appear on occasion.
-The mouthfeel is slick which, with the nice bitterness, increases drinkability.
-A touch of stone-like minerals (hard water?) is perceptible.

On cask at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford.

Cask@the billiard hall, west brom. Amber beer with medium head and good lacing. Aroma lemon and other citrus fruits. Taste is citrus fruits, berries, caramel and some piney hops. I like this for some reason, different and not what i was expecting. Very good.

Cask at the lyric Soho. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is bread, toasted seeds, earth and light spice. The taste is oily, wood, earth, some astringency, light bitterness and wet leaf with a lingering bitter finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Rather odd tasting (weird astringency), can’t say I like the flavour....
