Cask; Seasonal - Summer.
Colour: Dark gold. Summertime blonde beer which uses lager, malt and organic Perle Hallertau hops. On the nose there's an emphatic citrussy and lemon character with grainy malt lingering in the background. On the palette there's a whisper of grainy malt followed by more citrus (lemon and lime) before the dry finish with developing bitterness and an undertone of citrus fruit. An exceedingly well-balanced blend of malty and hoppy flavours to which you will want to keep returning.

Cask at the Hounslow JDW, faintly hazy amber-brown with a lasting tight white head. Malty and lightly grassy nose with a wisp of citrus leads into a grainy and herbal bitter body. Very nice sessiony bitter.

Very bland aroam, sweet malts. Sweet bland malt taste. Some dry twiggy bitterness. Why was this beer made? Macros can do this on their own - was fresh, not spooned.

Cask at the moon under water Watford jdw. Mostly clear light orange / copper coloured pour with a lasting g frothy white head. Aroma is sweet nutty malts, brambles, honey. Flavour is composed of fairly ordinary, nutty, light caramel malts, rough berry, hedgerow hop. Palate is semi sweet, little creamy, moderate cask condition. OK bitter.

Cask from The Water House (JDW), Durham, £1.99/pint. Pours mid-amber with slight orangey haze, a thin but frothy white head and a touch of carbonation. Aroma is mango, grapefruit and significantly alcoholic. Tropical fruit flavours open on a smooth palate and an earth, citra-esque skunkiness to the hops (should call it Skunky Monkey), as well as, fittingly for the brewery but not too pleasantly a certain dairy, milky flavour that comes through early before a mid-length, dry finish. Quite enjoyed it and it stood out in a market of numerous identikit citrusy golden beers.

Clear amber gold, small off-white head. Pleasantly hoppy but not overpowering, fruity (tropical). Mellow in the mouth, bready malts, some lacing and a mild bitter finish.

Hint of citrus but bo great scent. Pours amber with lace top. Taste has some light lemon notes but also sweet malt. Palate carries the lingering bitter finish. So a session bitter for the end of summer.

Cask at the Assembly Rooms, Solihull. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, acid citrus. The flavour is light bitter with an acid lemon lime citrus palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Unusual but uninspiring. Tastes more like cask yeast than the fruit beer that it’s supposed to be.

Gravity, 7th Hinckley BF, 11/09/14. Headless orange. Fart and nut nose sprinkled with Amaretto. Mineral and shrub stillness with likeable lemon cake crumbs. Dull but passable stuff.

At the Crow Bar at End of The Road Festival, Friday 29th August 2014 Pours amber with a whiteish head. Fruity and with a light banana toffee edge, a little sweetness lingers. Light bitterness. Fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
