(Rating #1091) patrick767 (1377), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Aug 19, 2006 draft at brewery in lowell - Pours golden with a thin head. The aroma is of mild hops. The flavor has a lightly hoppy taste with a body that’s a touch thin, but not bad for the style. This is pretty good for a pale lager, but that’s not saying much at all. 2beerguys (299), North Shore, Massachusetts, USA Mar 5, 2006 This lager pours a light yellow color with a fizzy, white head. Good lacing with a sparkling body. Light aroma of hops. Initial flavor is lightly bitter with a light sweet finish. Light body with a watery mouthfeel. Lively carbonation. We were turned off by the bitter taste of this lager. fbennett (293), Lowell, Massachusetts, USA Jan 31, 2006 Pours a golden raisin color leaving a white thin lace. The aroma is fantastic floural, smells like candy, has a strong strawberry smell. The taste is fruity sweet, malty, and a small diacetyl aspect in the beer. I can’t get over the strawberry shortcake, and honey aroma, but then the distinct lager characteristcs kick in. It is so smooth and fruity but not overpowering. The hops are faint, but there are many balancing aspects with suttle spices and bitterness. The taste starts off on the palate sweet, followed by a bitter hop appeal that cuts threw the sweetness of this beer making it pleasing to drink.
ABUSEDGOAT (1858), California, USA May 8, 2005 On tap @ Lowell Brewing Co: Another lager, nothing really special here. If you like lager style beers give it a try because it’s certainly better than something like Bud. This beer had no redeeming characteristics but nothing was wrong with it either.
