COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian style Abbey Dubbel brewed with Trappist ale yeast, Belgian candy sugar and dark malts. It has an underlying acidity to balance the sweetness from the malt and is aged in contact with French oak.

[5480-20130604] Tap. Light grainy wood plastic aroma. Clear, dark amber red body with a quick foamy white head. Plasticky candied malt flavour. Medium body. Not really a fan of dubbels in general. (6/3/5/3/12) 2.9

Pours dark brown with a small white top. Aroma is very sweet, with rich chocolate malts. Taste is sickly sweet, loaded with candy sugar. Rich dark and chocolate malts and a little belgian yeast. Too sweet for me.

Draught at Indie Alehouse, Sep.19. Pours a deep orange-amber with a small lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma is fruity and a bit tangy along with caramel malt and some sugary sweetness. Malty, fruity flavour along with some sugary sweetness. Alcohol is very well hidden. Average to medium bodied. Easy to drink considering the abv, but a little too sweet for me -- just good.

tap at mill st brewpub. Poured dark purple/brown colour, thin head. Aroma of banana and bread and yeast. Taste is sweet fruit and banana at first, bit of alcohol on the finish. Maybe a little sweet, but still decent.

Slightly cloudy brew with a brownish colour. has a real banana bread and yeasty aroma with esters and spice. Similar banana and sweetness on the palate. Very bready but rather boring giving the style.

Surprisingly good dubbel. Mill St. really pulled their weight here. Floral aromas with some malt. Nice soft carbonation. Pours dark brown with nice head and lacing. Finishes sweet and a little bitter from oak. Good. Tap at Session.

2013-06-04. Crisp dark amber brown body small off white head. 3+ Aroma is sweet and pleasantly sugary. Very light fruit, sugars and malt. Flavour is pleasantly sweet, sugary fruity malt lingers into the finish. Vaguely banana or bubble gum like notes in the finish at times. 7+ Smooth average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation is pleasant but still a bit light for the style. Dangerously drinkable if its 8.5%! On tap at C’est What

Deep amber pour with a thin white head. The aroma is softly spicy with a bit of fruit and bubble gum. Light clove and peppery spice. Warming and sweet but not cloying. Nice.
