On tap at Brothers Beer Bistro (Ottawa, ON). Dark gold body with a thin, fading, white creamy head. Fair malty aroma with bready hints. Its bland malty taste carries piney, hoppy and wet bread notes. Ends with a short grainy finish. Not very good.

Bottle: gold pour (not amber?) with a thin head. Aroma is fruity hop. Pale malt. Light caramel. Flavour is light to medium malt sweetness. Low bitterness. Light sweet finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark copper, medium off white head. Wonderful sharp malty aroma, with some great piney, grassy hops. A super crisp, dry, refreshing finish. Sharp, slightly nutty, cereal malts, and more grassy, slightly piney hops. Nothing to blow your hair back, but super well made, tasty, easy drinking lager. I wish i bought a 6er, not just the seasonal mixer pack.

33 cl bottle, Mulmur, ON, Canada. Gold with a slight amber, thick frothy head. Bread, tangerine and sweet caramel. Somewhat thick, balanced with a long mint-hop finish.

355ml bottle. Pours golden, not amber at all, I am assuming they used some amber malt? Anyway, thin white head minimal lacing. Aromas of malt, grass, mild hop. Taste similar to nose, has a bit of hop bitterness and finishes a little dry. I actually don’t mind this, not awesome, but not bad.

I give this beer such low marks mostly because it’s a big fat phoney. Amber? "Quintessential American-style craft lager"? How about boring generic GOLDEN lager with no hop profile, and a nose like horse feed and Mott’s apple juice. The funny thing is there’s nothing so terrible about this beer as to merit the low marks I gave it - it’s boring and simple and completely uninteresting, but it’s not horribly unpleasant or anything. However, it provides absolutely NONE of the features touted in the flowery blurb on the bottle, so for that reason alone I hate this beer.

Bouteille provenant du kit été. Une robe jaune dorée. Un nez et une bouche de grain. Rien de plus et rien de moins. Du grain. Passable..même pas.

Draft - Light sweet grains. Clear gold with a great white head. Light grains and none of what they claim. An "amber" "lager", silliness.

smells sweet malts from the can not inviting. In pint glass the hops show a fruity side and less sweet ness. Taste starts of wet and seems like it will eb refreshing then you get an earthy bitterness and then some juciy fruity ness and then gos back to the bitterness. Not the best or worst amber ale I had. When it warms up it smells like some hoppy ales.

Bouteille 355 ml. 5%. Couleur ambrée, mousse blanche. Arôme de sucre et miel. En bouche, maltée, un peu fruitée même, douce, mielleuse. Finale un peu sucrée, un peu d’amertume qui s’étend. Assez légère mais bonne beer de soif !
