3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
"On tap at the Ottawa brewpub: Had a good size head. Barely any carbonation. Deep orange hues. No lacing. For flavour, tasting bananas, but more strongly I feel, mangos! Feels thick going down. Reminds me of a freshly poured glass of fruity type juice (like mangos. hmm). But with 7% abv. :) Only available at the Ottawa location!"

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Ottawa brewpub. Hazy blonde pour. Yeasty and bubble gum nose. Flavor has bubble gum esters, slight red apple, yeast. Wheaty, frothy mouthfeel. More of a messy wheat saison to me, but not bad.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, shared with my wife over homemade fried rice. Deep brassy golden colour, short-lived white head that recedes to a faint ring. Aroma is sweet and very estery (bubblegum, cherries), a little spicy too. Sweet malty palate, bubblegum, ripe fruits, light spices.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cloudy orange/brown with lots of foamy white head. Smell is citrus, bread, and caramel. Palate is medium bodied with average carbonation. Taste is sweet at first then gets slightly bitter and the shifts between the two and mingles. Very nice and surprisingly good beer from mill street.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a slightly hazed orange with a modest amount of carbonation and topped with white head that quickly falls. Aroma has a mild amount of apple/pear/grape fruitiness with some light malt and hops late in the nose. Flavor is fantastic with strong apple and grape notes followed by some light spicy hops, light sweet grainy and a touch of alcohol hotness at the very end. Body is modest with a slight oily feeling to it. Overall a very tasty brew once it warms up a slightly less than room temp.

This is an ugly looking beer. Looks like an unfiltered dark apple cider. It pours a very hazed golden-brown with no head. The aroma is yeast, apples (maybe the cider comment isn’t off the mark) and some grains. I don’t get any of the funk associated with Biere de Gardes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour has the funk I was missing in the aroma, with yeasty notes, and hints of apple.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Imbibe - pours a nice cloudy honey gold in the galss with a one finger cap. Mild coebonation, Aeoma is musty swwet mats over some earthy hopping and Belgian yeast funk. Silky smmoth mouth feel, rich malty sweet flavour with enough hop balane to keep it from being a cloying drink.... mild complexity to thi mid palate as the yeast esters and phenols mingle with the malts and hop alphas....rich, long, wet finish with a light bittering at the end. A tad sweeter than the Bier de Guard I like but a real sessioner.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy dark amber with a small amount of white head amounting to a nice white lace. Aroma is of fruity, yeasty, some light hints of sweet orange smell is quite similar to a belgian wit. Tastes of sweet malt, some yeast, orange, finishes with a nice mild bitter touch.
