3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Trev (1663) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 22, 2010
gold pour with a thin quick white head.
aroma is pretty fruity and sweet. over ripe peachiness, hint of alc.
Flavour is pretty sweet, a lot of candy sugar going on, overpowers the fruitiness. Hints of grain in the maltiness. Slightly astringent tone in the finish.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 cfrancis (1774) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 11, 2010
Pours a dark golden yellow with a quickly disappearing thin white head. Aroma is sweet malt and yeast. Taste is rather thin, mainly sweet and somewhat syrupy. The aftertaste is a little offsetting somewhat tarte and boozy.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 MrManning (1982) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 9, 2010
Bottle- Transparent deep orange, with a frothy bleached white cap. Nice lace and retention here. Nose of candi sugar and alcohol, orange rind, some peach. Tastes sweet, very sweet. Of orange zest with booze. Fruity malts become bready towards the finish. Full bodied, heavy, syrupy. Way too sweet, and more in line with malt likka.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Spab (1646) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 27, 2010
355 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a fairly clear gold with small white cap. Aroma of banana, sweet pear and yeast. Taste is quite yeasty with sweet apple/pear, some banana and light spice. Syrupy mouthfeel and mild carbonation. Some alcohol apparent in finish. Ok but not very noteworthy.

Lots of candi sugar, some sweet Bready malts. Slight hops, more heavy bready malts. Cardboard and metallic finish. Cloying and bitter finish. Not one of their best efforts.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 DuffMan (5198) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 6, 2010
Bottle. Deep golden, clear, with a rapidly collapsing white head that is gone within 2 minutes. Aroma of corn syrup, bubblegum, and vague spices. Palate is syrupy sweet, with flavours of golden syrup, bubblegum, banana, and vague spices. Heavy and syrupy. Something just isn’t quite right here for me. Too sweet and unbalanced, lacking complexity. This could easily be a cheap euro strong lager.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 markas101 (1668) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2010
33 cl bottle, Mulmur, ON, Canada. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, sweet aroma of maple syrup with cloves. Nice carbonation, sweet that coats the throat then turns to a long dry spicy finish. Caramel and more cloves finish it.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Slacks (615) - Bolton, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 3, 2010
341ml Bottle: Light orange, no head at all. Aroma strong in pear and peach, sweet and spicy. Clings to the tongue, tons of body. Cloyingly sweet with pears, apples, banana, bubble gum, cloves. It’s not bad for a strange Belgian wheat candy beer but I wouldn’t want more than one.
